Chapter 4

"Come on boy," Selena whispered to Lucky's ear as she stopped him. She looked at her kingdom, she lay her eyes on the kingdom which was once beautiful and peaceful for it was now turned into a lair of death. Lucky stomped his legs on the ground his strength hitting against the ground he began trotting up into the forest. "Be calm Lucky," Selena whispered once more as her once playful companion who had not one worry in life was know in danger with every move of his legs. The forest was treacherous. No one dared enter, for it was said that evil spirit lived in that forest. Spirits whose only wish was to rip you apart. Selena looked at Lucky, his eyes filled with fright, she knew how dangerous it was, but it was her only chance to escape the gripping fingers of her stepmother. The entrance of the forest seemed like the face of the devil. Statues with faces full of fear stood at the front, while the spiderwebs that hung from the trees seemed to have been made from the devil himself. "It's ok Lucky everything will be ok," Selena whispered to Lucky as his eyes opened up he could feel the sprit of the forest he just couldn't stop trembling. "Lucky what's wro-," Selena shouted as she fell of Lucky his eyes filled with fear. "Easy boy stay calm," Selena said as she tried calming down the horse. Suddenly Lucky ran for his life as he ran deep into the forest. "Lucky come back," Selena shouted as he ran deeper in to the forest. "What am I going to do," Selena whispered as she got up from the cold ground. She has to find Lucky. She began walking the trees began to move like if they were not tied to the ground. It was cold Selena trembled as she looked for a place to rest. "Where can I go," Selena whispered once more as she continued walking. She could hear the sounds of the crows that guarded the night, she didn't fear them but it was said that the crows cries were the sounds of death. Suddenly she found a willow tree and right next to it an abandoned shed. "I'll be safe here," she thought as she got closer to the shed. She opened the door, luckily it was clean. Selena was used to sleeping in awful places since she had lived in that awful tower for so long. "At least I'll be safe here," she whispered once more as she closed her eyes as she heard the cries of the crows one last time.
