"This is a joke, right? There's no way vampires are real."
"Well I'm real, am I not?"
"Get the hell out of my house. The both of you have no right to be in here."
Julianna sighs, "Well technically I'm not in your house."
"Come on in, Julianna."
Julianna hesitated for a few seconds but then gave in and walked inside my house, "You own the house, Florence?"
"Indeed. Estelle and I have things to talk about, now if take what's yours then I would really like that."
"Hold on, what about my part of the deal? Did you really think that I just wanted two pathetic bodies? If I wanted, I could kill the whole town. Give me my part of the deal."
"What is she talking about? What part of the deal?" I exclaim,
"Right. I almost forgot. Estelle, I am going to need to start our lessons early."
She grabs my hand and chants a few words over and over again, she was too strong. I couldn't make her let go of me. She grabs Julianna and puts her in the middle of us and holds on tighter to me.
The candles all turn on automatically at the same time, even the fireplace turned on. No words can explain the fear I felt, I could feel tears almost coming out of my eyes. Suddenly, I started feeling weaker and weaker each second.
"What are you doing to me? Get out of my house! Get out of my house! Leave me alone!"
It was too late.
Julianna walked to my kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water and started drinking out of it.
"It worked," she smiles, "Thank you. You truly do keep your word, Florence."
Julianna grabbed Serenity and Vivian and sped away.
"What the hell was that for? You can't leave me alone like this. You can't make me do spells without me knowing exactly what spell I am doing!"
"My apologies, I had to."
"What was the deal?"
"I will tell you later, but right now, let's get started on the spells. Shall we?"
"Tell me now, grandma."
"Where is your mother? It is almost 8 and she is still not here. Is this her regular schedule now?"
"Work. Stop trying to change the subject."
"Fine. Would it be cruel if I just left a vampire who can't be hurt by vervain out in the streets?"
"Vervain?"
Florence facepalms, "You really do not know your supernatural beings, do you? Vervain is like toxic to vampires for some apparent reason. It burns them and it hurts them a lot."
My eyes widen, Vivian's bracelet.
Vivian told me around freshmen year that her mother gave her a silver bracelet that was just a bunch of silver balls and that it had vervain in it.
I completely ignored the vervain part until now.
"Hold on, so you're telling me that Julianna can't be affected by vervain anymore?"
"Correct. Thanks you and I, we make an excellent team, don't we?"
"Which means, she could kill my friends right now if she wanted to."
"Correct again."
"So, we're just gonna stand here and pretend like my friends never existed and let them die?"
"You are really good at this."
"Hmm.." I start pulling one of the umbrellas from the bucket by my door slowly and ever so silently, "Family is more important than friends, right grandma?"
"..Yes?"
I smack her with her own black umbrella until she falls down, "Yeah well, they are my family. You aren't. Family wouldn't use eachother for their own selfishness."
I speed walk to my car and start turning it on, *turns on GPS* "Now where could they be?"

Hello everyone, I hope you've enjoyed the last 5 chapters. In my opinion, they've been quite boring. But I promise that soon they'll improve and there'll be a lot more drama and stuff like that. There's been a lot of smacking and passing out but yeah. As you can see, I don't really know much about witches or vampires. I'm basically just winging it right now. Thank you again for reading 'Black Rituals', please share this book with all of your friends if you'd like.
Happy late Halloween!
(Did you guys dress up for Halloween? I did, unfortunately, I didn't go trick or treating cause it's been a tough weekend. Other than that, I was a cat.)
