PSA BITCHES
Stephanie was a perfect girl in a perfect world, with the perfect family, and a perfect boyfriend.
They've been together forever because they are both fucking perfect.
They have perfect grades, perfect looks, and perfect relationships with everyone.
What's a story without defects?
Our defects make us individual, they shape our personality.
Yea some people tend to scrutinize the imperfections in human nature because of their experiences, and when learning about those experiences, I don't blame them. However, on a personal level, I wouldn't be who I am today without learning from my mistakes and seeing the dark side within myself.
Many people I know may say that perfect is boring and that we should embrace our imperfections, and to a certain level, I agree with them. We should acknowledge the imperfections that are nestled deep within the crevices in our brain (I refuse to say heart) for they make us who we are.
And acknowledging them would allow us to grow as an individual, and (hopefully) become a better person. To clarify, when I say a better person, I do not mean a perfect individual because the idea of a perfect individual is simply fiction. When I say a "better person" I am referencing one who wants to be happy and content with themselves.
It's not easy, but who said it was easy?
It's not perfect, but who said we had to be?
