We arrive at the venue and get escorted to our seats. As we wait for the concert to start we talk to some of the people around us. Then the lights dim.
Abby grabs my hand and Kate whispers, "It's finally happening."
Nick comes onto the stage and the crowd screams and roars. He starts to sing and I'm in love. His songs are amazing and he is really doing good on his own. He takes a break from singing and starts to talk about his inspiration for his songs. That's when we make eye contact. He stops talking and just stares at me. There are murmurs in the crowd. He quickly starts back up with his speech looking away. His eyes glance over at me as if he is trying not to make it noticeable.
But I notice. I noticed the way he stumbled on his words when we made eye contact. How he kept looking over at me. The way he just stopped and stared. Something was happening.
But I decide to ignore it. Even if he did find me attractive it's not like anything would ever happen. He might think " Wow, that was one hot girl.", but by tomorrow he will have forgotten all about me. He'll move onto another show where he'll see some other girl. That's why i just ignored it. I kept dancing and having a good time... trying not to pay attention to the occasional looks.
He is running all around the stage. He then comes to our section. He keeps singing, but i see his eyes scan my whole body from head to toe. He spins and walks back to the center of the stage. Ok. Ignoring it.
He sings his "last song" and walks backstage. Everyone starts chanting his name because anyone who has been to a concert before knows that they always come back. I pull Abby and Kate close so they can hear me.
"What's up?", Kate asks looking concerned.
"Ok, this is going to sound crazy, but I feel like... I mean i saw.... I thought.."
Abby shakes my shoulder, "Come on spit it out."
"Nick kept looking at me!", they nod their heads indicating i tell them more.
"You know when he stopped talking completely.", another nod from them both.
"Well, he was staring at me." I say looking at them both.
Abby looks as if she is trying to take it all in when she says, "So, are you saying you think Nick Jonas like has a thing for you."
"I don't know. All I know is our eyes made contact and something happened."
The lights dim again.
"Well, I guess we'll see what happens.", Kate says looking back up at the stage. Abby and I do the same.
Nick comes out, and everyone goes wild again. Kate's right i just need to let whatever is going to happen happen and stop worrying about it. I listen to the song and realize it's one of my favorites. I figure it's the last song so i might as well make the best of it. Abby, Kate, and I start jumping up and down singing every word at the top of our lungs. Then... It's over.
And like i predicted nothing happened.
Everyone starts to clear out.
"You ready to go.", Abby asks.
I turn and look at the stage one more time. Kate puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, don't get yourself down. It just wasn't meant to be."
"No it's fine I'm not upset. It was a crazy thing to think about." I say turning away from the stage. The night was fun while it lasted, but now it's over and time to leave.
"Come on, if we don't go soon security will start to drag us out, like last year at One Direction.", Abby says making us all laugh remembering the 6 huge security guards it took to make us leave.
We start towards the exit. Something in my brain tells me not to leave yet, but I don't know why. So i keep walking.
Past section one.
Down some stepts.
Past section two.
Turn a corner.
Into section 3..... A hand on my arm.
I turn and see a huge security guard. I roll my eyes and turn to Abby and Kate "What've we done this time."
They laugh. We don't seem to be able to go to a concert and not get talked to by security.
I turn back to the guard. "You can let go of my arm. I'm not going anywhere.", i say glancing down at my arm.
"Umm... Sorry. I just have a question for you."
"Yes."
"Were you sitting in the front row."
"Yeah, why is there something wrong?"
"No. It's just. Well... Your wanted backstage."
