I stared at the beautiful colors of late summer out of the window. The leaves were flying around everywhere, looking as though they were waiting to be noticed. There were huge trees everywhere, decorated by bright green leaves. I loved the beautiful houses, the way they were all different from eachother, all unique.
I could hear my mom celebrating with the taxi driver about our new home and neighborhood. She loved the look of it almost as much as I did. We were so alike in our taste of things. I can imagine how it would look around here for autumn with all the colors. My mother and I would always take long walks in nearby parks when I was younger, and just talk about what all little kids loved talking about. We would talk about all the things we thought about, all our wonders and things that would make us happy, as cliche as it sounds.
"Don't worry, darling. Once we move we'll be as happy as we could ever imagine," she would tell me as we sat on our signature bench at my favorite park. I remember looking at her grinning, showing the big dents of my dimples. She took both pointer fingers and poked them. I giggled and hugged her as tight as my little arms could bare.
"Lilly, would you mind grabbing that suitcase from the driver? He's holding way too much," she stumbled her way to the front door with as many boxes as she could manage to hold. I got out the car and glanced at the driver struggling to hold as many suitcases and boxes as he could.
"Thank you so much for your help," I took the biggest suitcase and box out of his hold.
"Oh, don't worry about it, Miss. I'm glad to help."
It was strange how nice he was. People were never so polite where my mom and I lived before. I just hope everyone would be as nice as this taxi driver.
Turning back to the house, I just stood there in awe. The house was about as tall as the trees around it. The peach color of the walls looked perfect with the brown roof. There were leaves sprinkled all over it, looking like decoration. The grass couldn't have looked any greener. It was perfect. It looked just like my dream home. I honestly wonder how my mom found this place.
As soon as we were done unpacking I decided to give myself a tour. This house is actually huge. I walked with slow strides, taking in the glory of each and every inch of the place. I sneezed an awful lot, dust was either flying around everywhere or I just discovered I have allergies.
The wooden floors creeked with every step. I finally found a staircase and made my way up. What a surprise, more hallways.
Then I came to a halt. One room, a couple doors down the hallway, had a giant window. Looking out of it, I could see the sunset hiding behind the giant trees that made the woods.
Nothing made me happier than a room with a view.

"What are you thinking Lilly? You're worrying me with that look on your face." My mother's cheeks were swelled with her Subway sandwich.
Had I made it that obvious? I mean, I at least tried to not look insanely worried about making friends and having to figure my way around a school that was completely foriegn to me. It's not like I was ever good at making friends before or figuring my way around new places. I highly doubt this will be any different
"I start school tomorrow, Mom. What will I do? Who will I sit with at lunch? I am most certain I'll get lost within the first 5 minutes I enter that school." I said with worry and panic written all over my face. I couldn't bare hold it in anymore. My mind's been pondering on the subject since we left our old home. I don't even know what I'll say if someone notices me.
"Oh Lill, don't freak out so much. I'm sure they'll be plenty of people who are going to look at you and think, 'Wow! Did a model just move into the neighborhood?!'" A little hint of a grin peaked at the edge of her lips. She really knows what to say when I panic, as cheesy as she can be. I snorted at the comment and dabbled at my sandwich.
