Made For Us

We shared the longest silence on our way to who knows where he was taking me. It was one of those comfortable silences though, the type where I sit looking out the window thinking about anything that came to mind. I can tell he was doing the same by the look on his face when I peeked over for a second. He had this stern look to him that made him look so elegant, sophisticated and just downright gorgeous.

Alright, I need to stop drooling over this boy. Someone like him wouldn't go for someone like me. I'm so plain compared to him. His broad shoulders, huge biceps, beautifully creamy green eyes, messy chocolate silky hair, caramel tanned skin, perfect lips all added up to probably the cutest guy to ever speak to me. Plus, he was different from any other typical 17 year old boy I've met so far. He stood out from the crowd in my eyes and I couldn't help but wonder if I had the same effect on him.

Psh, who am I kidding. Maybe this is just him being friendly since I'm new and he just wants to make a good first impression. Or maybe he sees me as someone who stood out just like he did. I really couldn't tell to be quite honest. I'm horrible at reading people. I reminded myself I still have no clue where in the hell we're going. I don't recognize our surroundings one bit but it looked different.

"Might I ask where you're taking me?" I asked genuinely.

He peered towards me and smirked, "Don't worry. It's a surprise. I go here every time to just relax," he really was different from everyone else.

He parked the car at the edge of the sidewalk next to a little grass filled area with hills, flowers and lots of scattered trees. The timing was perfect since sunset was just a few minutes away. It was a breathtakingly, beautiful place to relax. I can see why he would come here.

"This right here is literally my favorite place to go. I come here and draw most of the time," he said with his eyes glued to the place.

"I can see why. This place is incredibly pretty," I replied. We both unbuckled and stepped out the car. He walked ahead of me taking slow strides looking as if he was choosing where exactly to sit. I looked around, taking in the indescribable beauty. This place was made for people like Blake and I. If I could remember how to get here I think I might come here everyday.

I walked behind Blake, following his steps. He looked like he recognized a certain spot and sat down. I copied his moves then looked over to him.

"What made you want to take me here? Not that I don't love it cause believe me I do, but why me?" I saw his expression change to a more serious look. He looked at me in the eyes then looked away quickly and scrunched his eyebrows a little. He looked like the thought hadn't occurred to him.

"I don't know, really. I guess when I saw you in school and noticed something was bothering you I felt kind of bad, and I guess I felt the need to make you feel better," he said while staring down at his hands.

He reminded me of a little boy in that moment, so innocent, so pure. He said that so casually like he hadn't just made it clear that for some reason he cared about me. To be honest, I don't think I'll ever know why he does. I don't know if it was just me or if I saw his cheeks get a little more red than usual. Was he blushing?

"Well I guess I'm lucky you felt that need," he looked up grinning and I grinned back.

"Oh! I almost forgot something. Stay here, I'll be right back," in a second he disappeared after he ran towards his car. He caught me off guard so I jumped at the alertness in his voice. Seconds later he was back with a familiar sketchbook in his hands. God, this kid runs fast. "I figured since we're here, why not."

"What are you planning to draw today, Mr. Da Vinci?" I said in a smirk.

"Actually I was planning to draw you. So, sit still. You can't move a muscle," I was shocked at the fact he wanted to draw me. He seemed so casual about it so shouldn't I be?
