         "Julie Moore" the teacher called, I looked up "Sorry" I blushed snapping my notebook closed, she tisked "your grades are slipping, pay attention" she said. I nodded tucking my journal under my math book, I leaned against my arm looking up at the board, but that didn't distract me from the people talking about me behind my back. "Bet she was writing about her wonderful life in Neverland" there were snickers and laughter, "Or she's writing about how her dad rapes her every night" more giggles. I tucked hair behind my ear and looked down at my journal, it wasn't nothing much, just a leather little journal, they didn't know me, I just moved here, with my father who's actually a police man.

        "She's so weird" another whisper, "Would you shut up" I heard a new voice, I had learned the voices of most the people who tease me, James, Emma, Brittney, Jacob, Miles, Lydia, the list could go on and on, but I never hear this voice, at least around me anyway. Curiosity got the best of me and I looked over my shoulder to see the fiery, sexy yet passionate Luke Hemmings, the total opposite of my gentle, sensitive, melancholy and deep self. He noticed I was looking at him and he smirked and crossed his arms over his chest, I blushed and looked back down at my journal. Every piece of me wanted to whip through the pages and write down how his icy blue eyes warmed my fragile heart.

        The bell rung and I stood up pulling my bag over my shoulder, I tucked my journal into my bag and I was about to pick up my book, when someone suddenly threw it down on the ground. I looked up to see Luke sharing a fist bump with one of his friends. I sighed and kneeled down picking up the book and then tucking it in my bag before walking out of the room over to my locker where my best friend Liam was standing waiting for me. "So, how was math?" she asked, and by she I mean he, Lia is our schools only transgender student and my best friend; Liam. "Mrs. J says I am slipping" I said shaking my head, throwing my math book into the locker "I can tutor you- come on it'll be fine" he said, I rolled my eyes "my dad would kill you" I replied, lets just say my dad's not too open minded.

        "We sneak in then" he replied, I shook my head "I don't- he's been though enough, with my mom leaving, and the new job, I don't want him to freak out" I said shaking my head, "I'll manage don't worry" I replied. "Why don't you two just date already!" someone shouted, I rolled my eyes and shut the door. He crinkled up his nose "Sorry love, you're just not my type" he said then took my arm, "lets go eat lunch" I said with a giggle. We walked into the room where all eyes are on us, we walk to our usual table and sat down taking out our lunches. I pulled out my journal and he pulled out his sketch book and we went on ignoring each other, eating, writing, sketching.

        I felt someone peering over my shoulder, I carefully looked to see Brittney, "who you writing about now freak?" she asked with a smirk and then walked off, hitting me in the side. I closed the book blushing and then shoved it into my bag, Liam smirked "Who are you writing about?" he asked not even looking up from his sketch, I rolled my eyes "it doesn't matter" I replied shaking my head, "Who are you drawing" I asked teasingly. He pushed it over to me, and I looked, it was Luke at his lunch table staring over at me sitting next to him, "Uh" I looked up to see in fact Luke was staring at me, and when I started to look at him he smirked, and I blushed and looked away, and Liam chuckled.

        "Someone's got a crush- someone's got a crush" he teased me, I rolled my eyes and looked at him "I do not have a crush. I am just not use to someone staring at me like I am Bella or something" I replied tucking hair behind my ear. He chuckled "Well if you  have a crush, then apparently you're his next target" he said, I shook my head trying not to smile "He doesn't go for girls like me" I replied shaking my head, "I'm not his type. He just realized why we are so entertaining to people" I told him. He rolled his eyes "Well don't come crying to me when those icy blue eyes break your fragile heart" he said, I punched him in the arm "don't read my journal" I said hitting him one last time.

        "I'm sorry but you write so well, and it's so interesting" he whined, "said the guy with a vagina" I said getting  as the bell rang, "Hey!" he said jumping up to catch up with me. I was heading towards my next class, "Yeah don't read" I replied with a roll of my eyes, "Whatever, see you loser" he said walking off. I went into my English class, and sat down in my usual seat, I pulled out my journal, and watched as she wrote Emily Dickenson on the board. I slouched and let out a sigh, I learned everything I needed to know about Emily Dickenson when I was like 10. Everyone sat around in class, sighing because apparently English is the most boring class in the entire school. I rolled my eyes and waited for the teacher to ask the question.

        "Does anyone know who this is?" she asked looking around the class, She shook her head "No one?" she asked, then she looked at me "Come on Julie save us here" she said leaning against her podium. "Emily Dickenson, Born Dec. 10 1830, and died May 15 1886.  Born in Amherst, Massachusetts, she lived a mostly introverted and reclusive life. She is one of the greatest American poets" I said, she smiled "I was looking for poet, but thank you, saved me some teaching" she said standing up, some people laughed behind me, "So does anyone know a line of a poem maybe?" she asked, I looked around and then slowly raised my hand "of course" someone muttered, I rolled my eyes as she called on me.

"If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain."

        "Loser memorized poems from ancient dead ladies" someone whispered, I rolled my eyes "alright, get in the back of the room, I need to teach someone who won't teach me" she said. I smiled and rolled my eyes but picked up my book and went to the back of the room and sat down in a spot in the back. I opened my journal and started writing. 'I am thankful for all those difficult people in my life, they have shown me exactly what I don't want to be. They're intimidated by me, so they talk bad about you with hopes that others wont find you so appealing. And apparently it works. Sad this world has to be so cruel. But never waste your time trying to explain who you are to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.'

       I rubbed my forehead, and I was about to write more when someone was whispering "pssst" I shook my head trying to focus but he continued to get louder, I looked up "What" I hissed, to see Luke, he smirked "You got something-" I pointed to his forehead, I blushed and quickly rubbed whatever it was off my forehead, then I looked back down at my notebook, "You know, a simple thank you is nice, saved you from some giggling, which I know you hear" he said. I looked up at him "Thank you, for being part of the laughing" I replied before looking back down at my notebook. "I don't make the jokes, I just laugh" he said, I shook my head "Like that is any better" I muttered, "hey listen" he said getting me to look up at him, "I won't laugh anymore- promise" he said.

        Part of me wanted to believe him but the other part knew he was just trying to get in my pants or something. "Whatever" I said shaking my head, the bell rang but I stayed seated trying to get my final thoughts out. I looked up for a second to see Brittney now sitting in Luke's lap, "hey baby" she said leaning down and kissing him, I internally gaged wondering if he knew how many boys she slept with in the passed week. Think of disease, God, Nasty. "So there's this party next Saturday at Ems, you come?" she asked, "course baby" he replied, she then looked at me "Sorry you had to sit by the necrophilia freak" she said, I rolled my eyes as she giggled "See you" she said giving him a kiss.

        I looked up at Luke "See didn't laugh" he said standing up and then patted the table, "Come to the party" he said, I let out a laugh "You're kidding right?" I asked. He shook his head with a smirk "And bring your freak with you, you'd be surprised" he said biting his lip ring waiting for an answer. Why did he have to be so god damn sexy? I pressed my lips together and closed my journal "Fine" I said shoving it in my bag, "We'll be there" I said walking out the door. I felt like I couldn't breath, I have never had a conversation with anyone besides Liam since I moved her, much less the super hot popular guy. "Woah girl you going to faint?" Liam asked as I leaned against my locker "no-" I said shaking my head, "We got invited to Emily's party this Saturday" I said, he smiled "no way" he said, I nodded "yeah" I said softly, "We're going to a party!" he said shaking me, "If I am allowed to go" I whispered.
