I looked at Luke, but unlike every other time in my life, he wasn't looking at me. No, he was looking at her. He was looking at her as if she was the only lovely thing that existed in the world. That hurt my heart.
"You sure you'll be okay sweetheart?" my father asked sitting on the end of my bed, I dropped my book down and looked at him "Dad I am old enough to be home alone" I assured him. He sighed and kissed my forehead "See you tomorrow evening" he said, "I love you" I smiled at him, "I love you too" he said kissing my forehead once again, before getting up and walking out of my room. Once I was sure he was gone, I dropped my book down and walked over to my closet, whipping it open, and looking through all my dresses, But I couldn't find one, mine are all floral and easy going, nothing I could wear to a party full of drunk sex crazed teens, they'd think I was a lost 9 year old.
I pulled out my phone and called Liam "Dude we have an issue" I said still looking through all my clothes "I have nothing sexy, I am literally the goodest girl you've ever met" I told him. He chuckled "point?" he asked, I groaned "What do I wear?" I complained dropping my arms "You dress like you" he said. I half smiled "But I'm a loser" I said, "Are we're alright with that remember" he replied, I giggled "Okay I have an idea" I said before hanging up on him, then I pulled out one of my light washed high wasted shorts, a black shirt and one of my plaid shirts wrapped around my waist (picture below with short hair).

I quickly wiggled into it and pulled on my black combat boots. I looked into the mirror and took my short hair out of the pony and parted it like I usually do. Suddenly there was a honk and I took a deep breath before letting it go.
I grabbed my phone and shoved it into my pocket and then walked out of my house and climbed into Liam's car. "You look- fuckable" he said nodding, looking me up and down, "Oh my god don't not say that" I said, but I couldn't help but smile, "Thank you" I added. He chuckled and took off driving "Do you need directions?" I asked digging out my phone "No" he said shaking his head with a smirk, I widened my eyes and smiled "You and Emily" I said with a jaw dropped smile. "Girls desperate, Brittney's a hog" he said with a shrug, "Did you like.. scissor or.." I asked, he laughed "no" he replied shaking his head.
"If I am not your type, how in the hell is Emily your type?" I asked, "Are you offended?" he asked, I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms "yes, I am very offended" I said nodding. He chuckled "Sorry, but I am into the bitchy, hot cheerleader girls" he said, "And you are no where near bitchy" he said, " I can be a-" "Bitch" "If I want" I replied. "You can't even say the word bitch, you are not a bitch" he said shaking his head. He parked next to another row of cars "so are you ready to party?" he asked looking at me, I raised an eyebrow "Ready? No. Am I don't it, apparently" I replied.
"I think I am going to find myself a good time" he said getting out, I pouted getting out as well "Don't leave me all lonely" I complained. He chuckled as I followed him towards the house "After a few you'll be all loosened up" he said knocking on the door. I sighed rubbing my shoulder and then the door swung open, there stood Brittney, she furrowed her eyebrow "What are you losers doing here?" she asked. "We were invited" Liam replied, she laughed crossing her arms "yeah right" she said with a nod, she looked at me "So what are you doing here?" she asked. I was about to speak when someone inside cut me off "Oh come on Britt let them in, they don't get out very often" Luke said walking up to the door.
