Hey. I'm Alex, a 15 year old student at Roosevelt High. About a few weeks ago I came out as transgender to my parents. It was the hardest thing I ever did and when I look back on it I regret every part of it. They told me I had ten minutes to get out or they were going to send me to a mental hospital. Being transgender isn't some mental illness I need therapy for, some disease I can recover from, and it sure as hell isn't a phase I'm going to outgrow.
