Libby- 10 years old- Prologue
He looked at me. His hazel green/brown/yellow eyes burning deep into my deep blue eyes. His eyes often changed colour.
“Are you coming?” came his sweet innocent voice from above. I just stared taking in the moment. The sun shone from behind him, making him look angelic.
“Well?” he said getting impatient.
“Coming” I said stumbling, up the bank after him. I knew not to keep him waiting to much longer, he has always been impatient. He gets really angry when you make him wait longer than 2 minutes. He’s my best friend. We have known each other since we were little wee kids. We grew up together. Neighbours, in a little town in Canada. Stratford, Ontario, Canada. He is one year older than me but he understands me better than anyone. I finally reached the top of the bank, and glanced at what he had dragged me up here to see. Lake Victoria. The sun reflected off the lake and onto our faces. We sat there in silence, taking in the beauty of the lake.
That summer seemed perfect until it all came crashing down when my best friend, Justin Drew Bieber, went to Hollywood. Someone had found out he had so much talent. No one told me why, and later they said do you wanna talk about it when I was older to understand. I simply said no. not ever listening to the music he made, watching him on T.V. I knew it wasn’t his fault, but was hurt. My friends gushed over him. I didn’t tell anyone I used to know him. I wanted to leave Canada, there were to many memories of him around, so when I was 11 we moved to New York. Even then my friends loved him; I just ignored them and didn’t say anything about it. I had moved on in my life.
