The night was young and I was too giddy for my own good. It was only around 8 pm, the sun had set, making Brendon's apartment even colder than it had been.
"Well since I've got you trapped here," Brendon started, walking in with some sheets for the couch and a huge duvet. "I'll let you choose what movie we watch."
He flopped down on the couch with a huff, blowing his hair out of his eyes. The entire thing was so friendly and natural, he had this aura around him that made me feel at home.
"Well, its almost the holidays. How about Nightmare Before Christmas?" I reply.
"Of course. Lucky for you, I picked up the DVD a couple days ago." He stood back up and walked over to the counter, picking up the plastic casing of the DVD and shaking it in front of his face.
"Wow, gotta love a guy who comes prepared." I smiled back at him and watched him walk back toward the tv.
"So you love me huh?" He smirked and laughed, making me blush a bit at his comment.
"I, uh, thats not-" I say, flustered.
"I know dumby I was joking." He waves it off and pops the DVD in, joining me once again on the couch. He throws the duvet over the two of us and cuddles into it, covering his shoulders. "S'fucking cold in here."
I feel his warmth beside me, its so tempting to just scoot a little to my left so our body heat can combine.
The movie starts and we fall silent. The opening scene with all the trees with the different holidays always made me want a sequel or something. Just to explore the other doors.
Brendon's eyes light up a bit, I notice, when the song begins. What a nerd.
But then again, this is one of the best parts of the movie.
The townspeople finish their song and the movie goes about its business. Sally poisoning her father and whatnot.

"I always wanted a dog named Zero." I blurt out in the middle of the scene when Jack is singing about his longing for something new.
Brendon looks over to me with a questioning look. "That's an unusual little fact."
"Well I just thought, ya know, it'd be cute." I say, shrugging. "Zero."
He sighs, smiling. "Maybe one day.."
What does that mean?

It isn't until the middle of the movie that I feel cold fingers gently touch my own. It surprises me, the new feeling.
I look over at Brendon, who's eyes are still on the tv screen. Like he's not even paying attention to me or anything that's currently happening.
His hand wraps slowly around my own, curling into it. The cold turns to warmth quickly though. Does he know what he's doing? He must.
The small gesture makes my stomach do that flippy-over thing. When you can't feel anything but that warm sense of comfort and excitement.
My thoughts are interrupted when I feel his thumb slowly moving back and forth across the back of my hand.
The movie is completely forgotten by now, I don't care that the children are getting the scary, wrong presents.
Do I dare further the affection he's giving? I do. I shift over ever so slightly to the left, the warmth of his body now touching my own. We just seem to fit together perfectly.
He smiles to himself and looks down from the movie to his lap, but only for a second before he leans his head onto my shoulder.
The flipping in my stomach intensifies maybe 10 times, and I can feel my heart rate speeding up a bit. What is happening.
.::::::.
We sat like this until the end of the movie. I tried to shift so Brendon could get up and go to bed, but I found that he had fallen asleep leaning against me. His hair was a little disheveled and covering his closed eyes.
What do I do in this situation? Should I wake him up?
I decide against it, he's just sleeping so soundly I feel like it would be rude, and who am I kidding? This is nice.
Slowly, I remove his glasses from his nose and set them on the coffee table beside the couch. Laying down, with him on top of me.
He shifts a bit in his sleep, wrapping his arms around my neck. I thought he would wake up, but boy this kid is a sound sleeper.
The duvet over us, my hand on his back, and the snow still falling outside, I close my eyes.
I can feel his breathing against my chest. Slowly inhaling and exhaling in a soothing rhythm. I smile to myself, then begin to drift away into sleep.
A/N: It's been a while, hasn't it?
