5 hours earlier.

Ever since I had begun working at the Grand Sapphire Hotel, busy crowds were something that I had grown accustom to. Yet for some reason, awaiting tonight's crowd seemed to make me feel incredibly anxious. Perhaps it was due to the fact that the Grand Sapphire Hotel hadn't held such a large event before, or maybe it was due to fact that some of the world's most famous celebrities would be dining, partying, and gambling at this hotel tonight.

Neatly flattening out my uniform shirt, I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, sighing as I attempted to dismiss the constant anxious thoughts that flooded my mind.

"Hey Juyeon, is everything okay?" Haenim, one of my friendly co-workers asked, fixing up her hair in the mirror beside me.

"Yeah, I'm fine thank you," I smiled to Haenim, feeling slightly less anxious as I knew she was more than likely just as nervous as I was.

"You seem to be keeping yourself together much better than I am," she laughed, "I have no idea why I'm so nervous for tonight, It's not as though we're going to have to speak to the celebrities." She huffed, tucking her hair behind her ear. I chuckled and nodded my head in agreement, feeling relieved by her words.

She's right, Juyeon, it's not as though the celebrities are going to pay any attention to you.

I smiled and said good bye to Haenim, wishing her good luck for tonight, and walking out of the bathroom. For a moment, I'm breath-taken by the immense chandeliers that adorn the tall roof of the ballroom. The Grand Sapphire Hotel is one of Seoul's largest and most expensive hotels, standing strong at 50 stories high. It is most commonly known for having the largest built-in casino, attracting some of the most important celebrities globally. Personally, I tended not to pay much attention to the celebrities that visited, but considering how widely talked about the celebrities were tonight, it was practically impossible to not be aware of their upcoming appearances.

"Juyeon," a familiar, unpleasant voice called, momentarily dragging me away from my thoughts. "Could you please quit day-dreaming and get back to work? This isn't the time for you to be slacking off." Minsuh, one of my not so friendly co-workers, spoke in her regular, irritating tone, eyeing me up and down with crossed arms and a stern look on her face.

"Sorry," I bowed slightly, "Is there anything in particular that you'd like me to do?" I asked, feeling the annoyance of her rudeness bother me.

Minsuh sighed, "You could start by cleaning room #206." She said, seeming to find picking at her nails more interesting than looking at me. "This is the keycard to the room." She handed me a card, "The family who just checked out had two kids, so make sure to double check everything." She conclusively said.

"Okay, thank you." I forced a smile and made my way to the elevator, scanning my employee card and clicking the button of the floor which I needed to go to.

I stood in the elevator, listening to the quiet classical music that mellowed from the speakers. Even the elevators themselves were immensely luxurious, I found myself wondering how much the Grand Sapphire Hotel must be worth. The elevator suddenly came to a halt quite few floors below where I needed to go. I moved to the side, making way for whoever was about to enter. The elevator doors opened, revealing a tall and admittedly, very attractive man. He wore what looked to be an extremely expensive suit, one that just so happened to compliment his attractiveness perfectly.

His head rose upon the opening of the elevator doors, instantly locking eyes with me as a small smirk crept onto his face. He slightly nodded his head as a 'hello' gesture, stepping into the elevator, and pulling out what looked to be a V.I.P card, scanning it and clicking the button at the top.

After a few seconds of studying the V.I.P card, I suddenly felt shocked, distinctly remembering that V.I.P cards were only exclusively offered to visitors or residents who stayed or lived in the Penthouse. Seeming to notice my sudden change in facial expressions, his smirk grew more prominent.

I looked away from him, feeling both slightly embarrassed, but also more nervous now knowing that he was quite an important person.

Damnit, Juyeon, you should have paid more attention when everyone was talking about the different celebrities who would be visiting, maybe then you'd at least know who this guy was!

I looked up at him slightly, studying his hands which were crossed in a very professional manor. Suddenly, his head turned towards me, smiling, then saying "What's a pretty girl like you doing here alone?" In a rather casual tone, his voice sounding quite teasing, yet intriguing. My eyes instantly widened at the sudden comment. The smirk on his face was incredibly evident, It would have been easy to tell without even having to look at his face.

Completely dumbfounded, I felt the blood begin to rush to my cheeks, not aware of how to respond. It wasn't exactly common for random strangers to compliment me, especially in an elevator, of all places. "Uh, I-I just work here," I stuttered, feeling his gaze burn into me. He chuckled, a sweet sound that suddenly made him seem less intimidating; he was obviously aware of the fact that I was nervous.

"Well, pretty lady. May I at least ask for your name?" He asked, speaking with such a relaxed, yet charming tone. My gaze finally met his, allowing me to study his face for a second. He had dark brown, side-swept hair that adorned his sharp features, especially his eyes. He had a cheeky smile that instantly lead me to believe that flirting with random women was something that he was all-too familiar with.

"Juyeon, sir," I smiled, giving a small bow and re-directing my gaze somewhat away from his face.

"What a pretty name for a pretty girl." He gave a satisfied smile, clearly eyeing me up and down, instantly making me feel quite vulnerable.

I felt the blush on my cheeks intensify at his charming words, muttering a small "Thank you," as he proceeded to smile.

"I'm Jung Hoseok, but you can call me J-Hope." He gave me a small wink, clearly, flattery was one of his skills. He took a small step towards me, instantly making my heartbeat accelerate from anticipation.

The elevator suddenly came to a halt, making a ding as the doors opened.

"Well, i-it was lovely meeting you... J-Hope," I bowed towards him once again, taking a few small steps around him and towards the exit.

"Not so fast." He chuckled, grabbing onto my wrist and lightly tugging me back into the elevator. I felt panic begin to override my body as he pulled me extremely close to him, looking down at me with the exact same cheeky smirk. His eyes were completely locked onto mine, as he slowly raised his hand, to which I flinched and closed my eyes, assuming that he was trying to attack me.

"You dropped this." He said in a low voice, causing me to slowly open my eyes and see what he was talking about. Within two of his slender fingers, he held my employee ID card. Instantly, I felt both relieved and extremely embarrassed, reaching up to his hand and politely taking the card from him.

How did he even manage to get that? I swear that had just been in my back pocket, there was no way that I could have just "dropped" it.

"T-thank you," I stuttered, still dumbfounded.

"The pleasure's all mine, Juyeon." He said, releasing his light grip on my wrist. "I hope to see you again some time." He winked once again as I exited the elevator. The doors of the elevator closed, allowing me one last look at his smug expression, before leaving me alone with numerous confused and embarrassed thoughts; had that seriously just happened?
