Forever and Always

"Ow!" 

"What's wrong, Y/n?" Glancing up, I saw Maka giving me a confused look. 

"Uh.. I poked myself in the eye... by accident.... again..." I gave her a nervous smile and she laughed. I'm currently putting on mascara for the party.. and I've poked myself in the eye about.. five times? Yeah, five times. 

Bang bang bang. "Hey, hurry up in there! We're gonna be late!" Sighing, I opened the door. Maka had helped my fix my make up. Just a touch of eyeliner, some mascara, and clear lip gloss to make my lips shine. 

"Wow, sis. Didn't think you'd ever come out. You look nice by the way, tryin to impress someone? Soul maybe? Or is it Kid? No no wait! It's Blackstar, isn't it!?" Shadow played a little guessing game, causing my face to heat up. Shadow is my meister, and he's also like a brother to me. My parents died when I was young, and my sister took charge. A couple years after it was just us, she found Shadow hiding in an alley way.. in the shadows. Sounds ironic, right? Well, he didn't have a name, so that's what we named him when she took him in. It was just the three of us for six long years, and then Lord Death called for us. Before we knew it, Shadow and I were attending the DWMA. It's been a year since we joined, and I'm now 14.

"Maaakaaaaa CHOP!" And now he's on the ground holding his head.. with Maka standing over him with a smug smirk on her face. 

"Yo, we goin, or what? All this waiting ain't cool." Soul walked into the hallway from the living room, took a glance at Maka and Shadow, and immediately turned and walked out. Giggling, I hurried to follow Soul into the living room. Slipping on my flats, I grabbed Soul's wrist and ran out the door. Soul is my best friend, so this isn't unusual. 

"Hey, wait up!" Stopping by Soul's bike, I turned around to see Maka and Shadow following close behind. 

"So, Maka, who're riding with? Your weapon, or your boyfriend?" I giggled, teasing her once again. Maka's face turned pink and she narrowed her eyes. 

"He is not my boyfriend!" Gasp. Giggling, I looked at Shadow, who had his right hand over his heart. 

"You're breaking my heart, Maka! And here I thought you loved me.." Shadow dramatically placed the back of his left hand on his forehead, and fell to his knees, pretending to be dying from a heart break. Chuckling, Soul tossed me a helmet, and jumped on his bike, and I quickly followed suit. Might as well leave the two love birds to finally hook up, right?

"SOUL!" As Soul and I jumped off his bike, Blackstar landed right in front of us, Tsubaki quickly coming over to greet us as well. 

"Hello Soul, Y/n!" She gave us a cheerful smile, and I ran over to her, giving her a tight hug. 

"Ohmygawd Tsubaki, it's been forever!" 

"Oh, it hasn't been that long, Y/n" Gasping dramatically, I cover my heart with my right hand. 

"Oh, but Tsubaki, it's been a whole two days! All this time without your cooking.. I almost died!" Tsubaki giggled lightly, and gave me a once over. The boys had already left, probably to go bother Kid or something. 

"Make up.. simple blue dress... and a blue star hair pin to match? Are you going to confess today, Y/n??" Tsubaki clapped her hands together excitedly, hoping it was true. I've had the biggest crush on Blackstar for almost 6 months now.. and only Tsubaki knows. She's my other best friend. Cause, well, who doesn't have two best friends? One boy, one girl. That's how it always works, right? Well, I don't know. All I know is that both Soul and Tsubaki are my best friends.
