Michael

No!

Hello? Please!

Excuse me? Excuse me sir...

Please someone help me!

I heard a voice pleading.
Can you see me?

Sir...

Ma'am?

Michael!

Michael where are you?

No no no no.

I heard someone sob from the back of my mind. I thought I was asleep?

Michael where'd you go? I heard a voice whisper again as it turned into crying and pleading.

Wait, this is Chrissy's voice. I jolted awake and hit my head on the roof of my bunk.

Fuck!

That hurt.

I got out of my bunk and walked over to the back lounge to find Chrissy crying in her sleep on the couch. Oh no, she must be having one of those nightmares again. I could hear her pleading and crying in my head which must be from what she's dreaming.

"Chrissy." I whispered.

"Chrissy wake up." I said as I shook her slightly. Her eyes bursted open as tears fell down her face.

"Chrissy it's okay I'm right here." I said. She quickly got up and hugged me tight, crying into my bare chest as I always slept in just my boxers. I felt her cold tears run down my body as she continued to cry.

"Shh. It's okay. I can see you, I can hear you. You're right here. I'm right here." I said as I rubbed my hands against her hair. She was like a little child that I always had to look out for. She's been having these nightmares for a few days now and I can't get her pleading out of my head while she had these dreams. She says she doesn't mean to call out to me, but I still hear her cries anyway. I think there's some kind of connection between our brains that we don't know how to shut off at certain times.

But I don't mind.

"None of them could see me.." She mumbled into my skin. Still shaking from her heavy breathing.

"I can see you. That's all that matters." I said softly.

I let her lay down with me as she nuzzled her face into my body. I stroked her back as she tried to calm down her tears. I couldn't imagine the pain she could feel to never be seen. She must feel completely lost and hopeless. To not have a family, shit that must be something hard to deal with. And being a wandering spirit pretending to be in people's lives? That's just sad. Really sad. I'm glad she's in my life though. And the best thing is, she doesn't have to pretend she's in it, because I know she's in my life. And I'm grateful that she is.

When I returned my gaze to her I realized she had already dozed off into her slumber.

This kid.

I didn't move because I didn't want to wake her. Instead I let her cuddle into me as I cuddled into her. I pulled a blanket over us to keep us warm—more likely me warm because I was freezing in her cold tears—and rested my chin on her head.

"Sweet dreams." I whispered and before I knew it I was deep in my slumber as well.

"So you've toured a few places in England already, how are you liking it so far?" An interviewer asked us. We were all squeezed onto a black couch as we struggled to share 2 microphones.

"Ah it's a great place. Great coffee." Ashton said.

"They have really fun pubs. I enjoy pubs." Luke confessed. The fandom was going crazy last night when he and Ashton went to one for fun. But hey, if that's the kind of social life they enjoy, I won't stop them from it. All we've had was ourselves anyways. They deserved a life outside the band as well.

"It's pretty good." Me and Calum managed to say. The truth is, Ashton and Luke loved traveling while me and Calum enjoyed staying home. We prefer staying in one place sometimes. A lot of traveling can really wear us down.

"How do you like the fans here?" The man asked.

"They're great. Really enthusiastic, really excited, the energy in the arena is mind blowing when we play live." Ashton answered.

"That's really nice to hear! The fans are really excited. But hold on, I wanted to bring this up..." He said as he lifted a newspaper up. And oh god, I already knew what it is.

"Ha! Michael is that you?" Luke chucked as he slapped his thigh.

This is the most embarrassing moment ever.

"Why are you making out with the ground!" Ashton cried. Yeah, remember when me and Chrissy's lips smacked at the mall? Well that picture that the paparazzi took of us ending up just being me kissing the floor.

This will go down in history.

"Yes! Michael why are you kissing the floor! There's a million fans who would be willing to kiss you!" The interviewer insisted.

I groaned at the embarrassment.

"I tripped guys. That's all." I mumbled. After a few minutes of completely laughing and making fun of me, the interviewer finally moved on.

"And how do you like the women here? Any girlfriends?"

We always felt awkward when interviewers would ask us those type of questions. It's pretty obvious we're all single and can't look for love because it would disappoint the fans.

I kept quiet waiting for Ashton to answer because he's usually the life saver when it comes to interviews. He was good at talking. But this time he was quiet as he just looked down into nothing.

"You know what I like, I like potatoes." I managed to say, quickly avoiding the entire question.

"Potatoes? I thought you were into cheese sticks." Calum added, catching on.

"I thought you were into breadsticks." Luke said smirking at me, batting his eyelashes at me.

"No, I'm into potatoes now." I said. We all started laughing at how completely random this was, but it was my technique of just avoiding the question until the host would be forced to move on.

"Okay then. Well here's the last question, what do you look for in a girl?" He asked.

I glanced over to Chrissy who was waiting outside just watching us through the glass. I wanted to say that I looked for someone funny. Someone ambitious. Adventurous. Someone I'd think were adorable. Someone I'd feel like the grownup with because most of the time when I'm with other human beings, I'm considered the immature one. I wanted to say I looked for someone like her, like Chrissy.

And that's when I knew, I had to confess my feelings towards her.

She was my answer to the interviewers question. If I confessed I loved this girl on the radio, the fans would go nuts.

So embrace yourselves for this, because I'm about to tell the world.

"I look for potatoes." I said instead. And the room was soon filled with laughter.
