"I just found out someone near and dear to me had died.As all of you are aware there was a bombing at the Bar four days ago. Our community is trying to get back to some sort of normalcy but normal is no longer a word we use around here"
~~Three Days Ago~
A few officers walk up to the podium
" My name is Lieutenant Colonel Rachel Bryan,I want to say first and foremost our deepest sympathy goes out to the families who have been effected.A criminal investigation has been done on Sargent Connor Manning and its to believe that Manning is solely responsible for this bombing.And there seems to be no more threat for Fort Marshell. Im ready to take your questions"she said and pointed to a reporter"Yes"
"Can you confirm the number of casualties"a reporter asked
"What we know at this time is that there are four deaths twelve injured some critical"she told them
"Can you confirm that the bomber was the only member of the army the time of the bombing"a other reporter asked
"There was army dependents there as well"
"Would that include the bomber's wife"one asked
"And Your husband Tyler Bryan"another one asked
Rachel had a sad look"We currently in the middle notifying family members at this time and can't identify at this time""Thank You"she said and walked away
~Present Day ~
Callie rolled over in bed and the sunlight hit her face causing her to squint.
"Come on pretty girl open those eyes of yours"she heard a voice say
A smile apeard on her face "Hey Handsome"she said softly
He leaned over and kissed her lips softly>She caressed his cheek"I wish we could stay here forever"she whispered
"Me too"he said as he brushed his fingers along her arm
"I don't like it when you are gone"she told him as she curled up closer to him
"I'm never gone Baby,you know that"
"I wanna stay with you"she brought his hand to her lips and kissed it
"You need to get up.The kids need you"
"But I don't think I can make this better for them"
"You can and you will"he kissed her head"Now go on get moving"he pushed her
"You not coming with me"
"Not this time now go on open those eyes"he told her
She jolted and looked around and when she realized she was dreaming she bursted into tears"Brandon I need you"she whispered
There was a knock on the door"Come in"she said
The door slowly opened and revealing Landon
"Hey Bud whats up"she asked
"I heard you crying are you ok"he asked so concerned for his mother
She smiled at him"Yes I am fine Honey"
"Its because that man blew up your work"he asked
"Come here"she opened her arms for him
Landon ran to his mother and jumped in bed with her"Your amazing you know that"she kissed his head
"Can you make me pancakes"he asked
"Of course come on"she smiled and got out of bed.Landon followed her out to the kitchen
Stef saw and freaked out"Callie you should not be out of bed"she freaked
"I'm fine"she groaned
"Just sit,I'll make the kids breakfast"she told her and sat her down on the couch
"You know Stef you don't need to stay with I'm fine.I was one of the lucky ones"she said sadly
"I know hon
I know honey but I would feel better if I stay and help you until this dies down.I mean you are still having nightmares"
"Its been four days it hasn't left mind and with it being on the news all the time its not gonna leave my mind"she cried hysterical"And I miss Brandon"
Stef went up to her and wrapped her arms around her and held her close"You know the first time I experienced his deployment it was tough I mean he is first baby and even though he is 25 he is still my little boy""There was a time I called him cause I wanted to hear his voice and when I realized he wasn't there I cried because I missed him.The not know where he is sucks but you have to pray he stays safe"
The next thing they heard was the doorbell ring.Stef and Callie looked over at one another
"I'll get it"Callie told Stef and got up and walked to the door when she opened it she got a sick feeling in her stomach
"Mrs. Foster"a man said
" No.No, you guys have the wrong house."she panicked
"No Mrs. Foster we're with the CID"he told her
" So you're not gonna tell me that my husband's dead?"she asked
"No Ma'am"the other guy said "We would like to ask you a few questions about the bombing"
She nodded and let them in"Before I tell you anything"she told them and turned to Stef "Can you take the kids out for breakfast"
"Sure sweetie"she rubbed her shoulder and left with the kids
"Can you take us back to the night of the bombing"
"My husband was just left for deployment and my friend Danielle and I went to the bar to get a drink after just ot calm our nerves""We ran into some of our friends and we got to talking not aware of what was going on.Until we heard it go silent,we all looked over and saw a man in uniform just standing there."
"Did you know who he was"he asked
"Yes,I was in shock when I saw it was Connor Manning.I got so scared when I saw his wife Bridget>Thats when he pulled down his vest and reveled the bombs"she cried
"Do you need to take a break Mrs Foster"
"No"she shook her head
"Continue"he told her
"She pleaded with him to stop.There was a second when he pressed the button it didn't go off.That's when the chaos started. I wanted to get to my friend but my friends pulled me back"
"Thanks for your time Mrs.Foster.We will be in touch"he told her and walk out
Callie went to her bedroom and put on her robe to get warm.Thats when she felt something her pocket.She reached in and pulled out a DVD"If you're wearing this robe, it's time for this."
She sat in front of the TV in and put in the DVD.Brandon's face was on the screen
"Hey, beautiful."he said
"Hi"she smiled
"So you are probably alone and cold,You're wrapped up in your robe, drinking a glass of red wine.Because that's what you do when you've had hard times.That's when your fears come out.Man, I wish I was there to grab those black snakes and wrestle them to the ground.Look, I know this is hard.But, baby, you're not alone.You've got the kids and your friends and my Family.You also have your job Man, I am sorry I ever gave you a hard time about getting that job.It's good that you have that place,Cal.It'll keep your mind off me while I'm gone.Now, I want you to do something for me.Close your eyes.Come on.I know you're cheating."he laughed"Close your eyes"
"Okay, okay,okay"she laughed
"Take off your robe"
"Well, okay."she said all sexy
"Now it's me holding you.Can you feel me?"he asks
"Yes"she whispered
