Time had stopped.
Everything was blurry.
I could hear muffled words coming from someone 'are you okay?'
'W-what happened?' I stutter, not noticing who I was even talking to.
'You ran into the pole'
'Y-yeah, I'm fine.'
I lied.
I wasn't okay.
I had entered the hell hole called 'High school'.
I attempted to gather my books that were scattered among the hallways but I was to late, the students at their lockers had already started to kick them down the hall.
I walked behind it, watching people kick it.
Everyone was laughing and people were heading to their classes
'Does anyone have any respect around here?'.
Finally the laughing stopped, and I heard another person speak, except I actually saw them this time.
It was my friend Amanda.
She asked me if I was okay, I shook my head back in forth replying a 'I'm fine.'
She walked me to class, and we just ignored everyone around us, It's like we were in our own little bubble.
No one else.
Just us.
I kinda liked it.
We reached my next class, the bubble popped.
I gave her a 'thank you' and we bid our good byes.
I watched her walk down the hall and go through the door to what ever class she had next.
I stood at the door for a minute wishing she haven't left.
After I heard my teacher Mrs. Kim say 'everyone take your seats' I walked into the classroom.
There was only one seat left at the very back.
I quickly walked to the desk and sat down.
Durning Mrs.Kim's lesson I completely zoned out, for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about 'Amanda, whoops' I said that out loud.
Unfortunately the girl in front of me heard me, it was Brittany.
Brittany was the cocky bitch at our school, she knows everything about everyone and wasn't afraid to use it against you.
She turned around and placed her finger on her lips and shushed me.
She gave me a disguised look and told everyone that I was talking including the teacher.
'Childish brat' I mumbled
After class I walked to my locker to put my books away and grab some money for food.
I grabbed $10 and left.
There is a coffee shop right beside the school so I went there.
As I was walking to the door to enter the shop I noticed a street dancer.
Dancing was always something that seemed interesting to me but my mother never had the money for it.
I went in,ordered my coffee and went back outside to sit on a bench and watch the street dancer.
He had black hair, a dark red baggy t-shirt, and black sweat pants.
As I sat down the song changed and he started to move with the rhythm.
I was in shock at how well his Body moved in sync with the music.
'Is this just his freestyle?!' I thought.
Sooner then later the music stopped.
And the street dancer took a seat beside me on the bench.
'They call me Chris' he spoke.
'they?' I replied a little to quickly.
'The people' he spoke again.
I don't see anyone except you..and the people walking in and out of the coffee shop'
'Just you wait and see' he said with passion.
'Well I'm Tori, it's nice meeting you'
As we were talking, I checked the time off my phone.
'Oh shit, I'm going to be late'
After we exchanged numbers I quickly walked back to school.
'He was nice' I mouthed.
'Who was nice?' Amanda, asked catching up to me.
'Oh..um..no one you know'.
She just gave me the okay face look and we went back to talking about how horrible the school is.
We did that a lot.
There was so many things that needed fixing, like..The clicks!!
Uh I hated them so much, I hated how you had to to be a thing around here.
I don't know what I would describe myself as but I know what people think about me.
A typical teen these days would look at me and just think: wow I feel bad for her, and then just walk away.
Not realizing it was time for class, we heard the bell so we decided to give each other a goodbye smile and walk our separate ways.
I headed to my locker to grab my books. There was only 10 minutes left of my last class and I couldn't stop wondering about Chris.Where he comes from, what his childhood was like, or how he got into dancing.
The bell rang and everyone left for the halls.
I went to my locker for the last time this week and got what I needed for the weekend.
I left through the doors and cheered 'yes!, I'm free'.
