Hey everyone! This is something new, writing at the top of the chapter. It's feels weird...oh well!

I just wanted to let all of you know that this will be a very short chapter in this book. Probably the shortest. The chapters will be getting longer so there will be more reading time for all of you!

I have something to say when you are done reading this chapter. It's kind of important, so....ENJOY!

--------------------------

I found my suitcase in the basement under boxes of crap labelled 'Dad.' I grabbed the bare essentials and a few extra things that I'm attached to emotionally. Like the necklace that Chris got for me the first time that I met his parents.

Chris didn't stop off at home while I was gone because he would have made a mess of what I spent all night last night and all morning to clean up and organize. Because he still hasn't stopped by yet, it won't be long until he does. I have to hurry.

----------------------------

The music is blasting and I'm singing at the top of my voice. I've never felt so free in my entire life. I have no one to answer to and no one to take care of.

I'm in Conneticut. I made it. I actually made it. Our small town of Rockland County, New York is really close to the border. I've passed cornfield after cornfield. I'd bet that if I never went into another corn maze it would be too soon.

Max and I exchanged numbers and we've been talking for the past hour. He's getting all of his things together and heading out soon.

I get to a 4-way stop and see no one. I go straight and see something in my peripheral vision. When I look over, I see a sick smile from the face of the man I thought that I had left behind forever. Then, everything goes dark.

-----------------------------

HIIII!!! So...do you hate me yet?? Okay, what I wanted to let you know is that this is as far as I have come so far and I will probably not be positing for a little while because I have a lot of things on my plate at the moment.

I love all of you!
