New Single

A/N: I realized that I never established what the Crazy 88's sound like. I'm going to base them off a hard rock band called Trapt. This band has been around since the late 90's but they are still going strong. I decided to use them since they are sort of what I envisioned. I do not in any way own or have a claim to the band, their songs or lyrics. I'm just using them as the template for my books. The song is called"Human(Like the rest of us)" This is me adding a chapter to the book. It's a filler...that establishes what they sound like.

Riley POV

I woke up feeling great. Giselle and I are going to get married properly with all our friends and family. I turned to see my love wasn't next to me. I listened for the bathroom or shower. Hearing nothing, I pulled on some basketball shorts and a t-shirt. I went in the hall where I heard giggles coming from downstairs. I went down and saw Benny and Giselle sitting on the sofa reading a book. Benny was laughing at the different voices Giselle was using to tell the story. They got to the part where the fox was going to eat the gingerbread man, when I rushed up behind Benny and tickled his sides making him scream with laughter. I kissed the side of his head as Giselle stood up and kissed me on the lips. " Now that daddy is up and about, time for breakfast!"

"YAY!" Benny happily screamed out and rushed off to the kitchen. Funny story...I took Benny to buy toys but he told me he only wanted three different cereals. What a little foodie. I walked in to see that Giselle had already started on the cooking.

I sat down and looked at my phone while Giselle prepared breakfast. I got an email from David where he said as compensation to the fans who missed the tour when I got stabbed we should release a single and post it on our website so fans could download it for free. Darren approved the idea, all we had to do was write it, record it, and boom! I should meet up with David later to work it out.

I was interrupted when Giselle snatched my phone out of my hands and put a huge plate of pancakes in front of me. "No work during mealtimes."she scolded me playfully. I grinned at her. I saw Benny look at me and the syrup with wide eyes. A second later Giselle put another plate of pancakes in front of Benny who clapped excitedly. I poured golden syrup on his which made him even more excitable. He eagerly attacked his pancakes. I offered the syrup to Giselle who declined and put Nutella on her pancakes.

After breakfast, I took care of the dishes while Giselle got Benny ready for the day. I walked upstairs and turned on the shower and I got myself cleaned off. I felt a soft hand on my back, and I turned to see Giselle standing behind me, naked and ready to shower. " I suppose Benny is watching TV?" I asked her.

She giggled and whispered in my ear"I wanna take advantage of the fact that he's going to be busy for the next 20 minutes."

I gave her the smirk that she likes. "Well then...we best get to it." I pulled her into the shower.

After the "hot" shower with my little vixen, I pulled her into the closet where we made out for a few minutes and then we got dressed and I headed over to the studio. I parked next to Ian's car and I got out and walked past when I looked into his car and saw him texting away on his phone. I rapped my knuckles on the window which made him jump and he looked at me with a glare. He got out of the car and walked with me to the building.

"Who you texting?" I asked him.

Ian looked at me and smiled coyly. "Not yet."

Ian is a secretive type of guy but I think he's talking to a girl. "Is she cute?' I asked him.

Ian simply smiled and flipped me off. "None of your business."

I laughed at his gesture but I was curious about the woman he was courting.The guy's time as a virgin may be limited. But...he saved it for someone special, like I should have done. While Giselle has told me time and again that she doesn't blame or judge me for my past...I know she deserves better. Before I tossed my virginity aside, it meant nothing to me. But now...I wish I waited for my Ellie.

She's not my first...but she will be my last. If she dies before me...it's a rockstar's way out using hooch and pills. If I die before her...well I just want her to be happy.

I'm interrupted from my thoughts by Ian when he snapped his fingers in my face. "I'm talking to you."

"Sorry man, I was distracted. What's up?"

"I wrote a song a while ago. I brought it with me but I wanted you to look at it since this is in your wheelhouse."

I took the paper from his hands and sat down and began reading the song.

"Not gonna lie to you Kang. It needs some brushing up...but I really like it!"(Kang is the name Ian's parents gave him for themselves and his family. Ian is his Western name. )

He smiled happily and said "Where do we start?" Since David and Will haven't shown up yet we sat in the studio and worked together on the song. After an hour, we finished it and looked at it with pride to notice that the others hadn't shown up.

I went to the lobby to find them but I passed Recording Room #3 and heard moans and pants coming from the room. I opened it and I saw Will fucking the label's top pop star Leslie Carrigan. The day she turned 18 she has tried to fuck all of us, but so far she only got her hands on David and that was a one night stand for him. She creeps me out with how hungrily she looks at me.

I stepped back to find David. Hopefully, he isn't hip deep in some other musician. I saw him in the lobby but he was having a serious discussion with Darren and some lady. Well i found them. I went back to our room and found Ian strumming his bass guitar. Well everyone's here.

When the others finally decided to show up I had Ian show them the song that he wrote. It achieved instant approval from Will while David had to try and play with it a little himself. But when he realized that the song had no need for improvement...he rushed it to legal so that they could begin copyrighting the song. While legal did their thing we got to work trying to make music that worked with the song.

After ten long days trying to work the song, we finally finished it. Human (Like the Rest of us) [play video now]was uploaded and free for download to anyone fan or not. We issued an apology to the fans for canceling the duration of the tour but explained that due to the circumstances that we had two band managers try to destroy my life and that any other band manager that we hired would be thoroughly vetted before working with us.

With the new song finished, I had a goal to start cranking out more songs for a 6th album. However, I also got to bring my mom here so that Brant, her, and myself can all talk about the last 20 years. Mom and I both deserved some answers and we were going to get them. Also, on a happier note... Giselle is gonna need some help planning our real wedding so mom is going to help out with that.

Life is going to be very interesting these next few months.

A/N: I know it's short but I'm soooo burned out by school and everything that the quality is suspect to say the least. Please forgive me. I wasn't happy writing this and not too pleased with the edited version yet put it up anyway. But I felt like I had to give something.
