Beautiful. That was the word I used to describe that angelic voice, the word I used to describe her. I couldn't see her face from here, but I could tell she was beautiful. Her shiny red hair with big curls and that voice was just... I couldn't find the words to say?

"So I'll keep running into the rain

Heart first, head second, I'm away

I'll keep running, running away

With my heart there for you to take...", she sang.

I moved closer, watched her play the piano from behind. When she started to play the chorus, I couldn't help but sing along.

"So make me fall in love

Even if I get hurt

I'll be the only fool in the world

Just make me fall in love

In love, in love, in love

In love, in love, in love

In love, in love, in love

Just make me fall in love."

She stopped singing and stared down at her hands. Why did she stop? She's amazing! But maybe-... What if she heard me? Nahh, she couldn't have, 'cuz that's not possible. Right?

... Right?

She shook her head, and then she started playing again. I sighed in relief. But then I heard something...

"Zayn?"

"Zaynie boy?"

"Zayyyn, where are you?"

They were looking for me again... I gulped.

Well, I better get going, because none of them likes to wait...

The alarm clock started ringing, and I immediately sat up, turning the sound off. I could hear that my dad and little sister were already awake, because Hailee was screaming. Probably 'cause she didn't want to put her pants on. She didn't really like pants...

I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my notifications. I had received a text message from Irini where she asked me if I needed a ride to school. I typed in a quick answer, and just a few seconds later a new message popped up.

From: Irini :)

"Ok hunbun! I'll pick u up at 8 x"

I put my phone back at the nightstand and got out of bed. The sun was shining outside, so I decided to wear my favorite pair of jeansshorts and a white top with black stripes.  I threw my hair up in a messy bun, put on some mascara on my eyelashes and begun to pack my school bag.

"Morning, dad", I said as I entered the kitchen.

"Goodmorning, honey." He smiled at me and lifted up Hailee on the kitchen counter so she sat there, with her tiny legs dangling.

I opened the fridge to get the yoghurt, and then my dad handed me the cereals. Irini would be here in ten minutes, so I'd have to eat quite fast. And since my mom was sleeping, I'd have to make the breakfast myself. Those mornings when my dad was the one to take care of Hailee none of us really had time for some real breakfast. My dad didn't really know how to... Do things.

I didn't say that he wasn't a good dad. He really is! But he's not good with little kids. He doesn't know how to dress them, how to make them eat if they don't want to, what kind of things Hailee needs for a day at daycare, and so on. I always had to fix that so he wouldn't be running late for work.

"She's not going to wear that today, is she?", I asked and glanced at my sister. She was wearing her pajama pants. I repeat: HER PAJAMA PANTS!!!

"Ofcourse she is? There's nothing wrong with that outfit", my dad said, giving me a confused look.

"Dad, please... That's her pajamas."

"No, it's no--" He interrupted himself. "Is it? Really?"

"Mhm." I nodded.

"Oh... Okey then. You're coming with me, little HaiHai", he said and lifted her up. My dad was so embarrassing. He always came up with those stupid nicknames, but he hadn't come up with one for me.

And thank god for that.

There was a knock on the door, and by the sound I could tell it was Irini.

"I'll open!", I shouted and walked out in the hall to open up for one of my best friends.

"Hello", she said, smiling.

"Hi. You're early."

"No. You're late, young lady", she pointed out.

"I am? Oh, sorry. I'll be ready in five." I ran into my room to get my things, and then I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"Bye dad! And don't forgot to take Hailee to daycare!", I joked and went out in the hall to put on my shoes.

"Ready for the history test today?", Irini asked and turned left at the junction. I sat on the luggage rack on her bike. My own bike was out of order, so my dad usually drove me to school. But then I always ended up running late. My dad didn't really care about punctuality.

"Audrey?", she snapped.

"Uh, yeah. Maybe...? I studied a little, but-... Yeah. And how about you?"

"What do you think? I didn't study at all." She laughed. "I hate history."

"I know, I know... But it's not like Mr.Walker will give you an A+ just because you're writing a little story about The Lost Potato's Adventures...?"

"And why not? It's a great story!"

"Yeah, and that's why he gave you an F last time."

"You're just jealous because you can't write a story as good as mine", she said, and I grinned.

"Yeah, maybe."

I wanted to tell Irini about what happened last night. I wanted to tell her about that angelic voice, I really did. But I couldn't. She didn't know about the things I could see, and if I told her she'd probably think that I'm a complete freak and totally messed up.

But that voice... I just couldn't get it out of my head! I had been dreaming about it tonight. It was singing to me, making me feel calm and happy. When I woke up I was a bit sad, because I just wanted to keep on listening.

Oh, that beautifully angelic voice! If I just got to hear it one more time...
