Caroline's POV

I closed the door behind me after coming home, oh my gosh; the best day. I was so in a trance that I hadn't heard my mother calling after me several times. "CAROLINE?!" she screamed, which brought me back to reality. I gave a look to her as if to explain. "Did you get groceries?" she asked, and as I looked down I had realised I had forgotten them and left them in Alfie's car. I cursed under my breath which she still heard and scolded me. "Oh, I'll go get them now" I lied to cover up the fact that her youngest daughter of three got in a car with strangers on her first day in a new neighbourhood, let a lone country. She gave me some money, which I though "Score!"

I quickly texted alfie.

To Alfie

"Hey, um.. I left the groceries in Marcus' car.."

From Caroline

To Caroline"Oh yeah, I noticed... we're coming back"

From Alfie

In a matter of minutes they pulled up, and Alfie hopped out with the bag of groceries. I looked down and noticed I still had his jumper on. "Oh, your jumper" I gasped, going to pull the sleeves down so it'd be easier to take off. "Don't worry, I'll get it back from you tomorrow" he calmly said with an adorable smile. "Tomorrow?" I asked, hesitantly. "Marcus and I are going to show you around" he stated proudly. "Oh really?" I rebutted, as if I was uninterested. He looked up with a tad bit of dissapointed. "On one condition, you help me unpack" I laughed, grabbed the groceries and waved to them goodbye.

I walked in the house with the groceries and my mother was finally relieved about something going alright. She grabbed the groceries off me so she could put them all away, and I trudged up the stairs to go to my bedroom. There was a bed and a chest drawers set up, that was it. I was yet to un-pack most of my things, and I could do them by tonight but I used this as an excuse to see Alfie more. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Alfie's POV

We left the front of Caroline's house and then Marcus dropped me off at mine. All I kept thinking about was her laugh and the way she smelt. I'm not a stalker, but when she sat on my lap I couldn't help but just lose myself in scent of her hair. It was like strawberries and cream... I snapped out of my thoughts whilst walking through the doors of mine and Caspar's flat and put my coat on the rack. "Caspy poo, I'm home"

I saw a messy blonde headed boy peak his head around the corner from the kitchen. "You slut, you're late for dinner" I was about to tell him what happened, but he cut me off. "I know, cute new girl - Marcus told Finn and I... Alfie's got a crush!" he giggled like a school girl and skipped off to the kitchen. I walked around to find he had made bangers and mash, which is sausages and mash potato... My favourite. He went to a whole lot of effort, and this is why I love Caspar, in the least-shippable way.

All through dinner I couldn't help but wonder what Caroline was up to, and numerous time I almost texted her, but I didn't want to come off as desperate. "Alfie, why are you chewing your lip? You only do that when you're nervous... Is it my cooking?" Caspar pouted. "No, don't be silly... I want to text her but don't want to come off as desperate" I looked up at Caspar who was smiling and aww'ing. Damnit, this is going to be a thing, now isn't it?

"Just wait till after our dinner movie, then you won't come off as desperate" he explained. Caspar has had a lot more dating experience than I have. Probably why he calls himself and his fan base sluts. We finished dinner and watched Despicable Me. I couldn't focus on the movie because the entire time I couldn't wait until the end so I could text her. I might seem creepy, but she seemed really nice, and well.. you know.. um.. Can't a guy just say a girl is hot without coming off as a jerk? Logic.

"You can text her now Alfie" Caspar told me, laughing as he noticed the entire time that I kept looking down at my phone. I smiled, and reached for my phone - but the unexpected happened...

Caroline's POV

I was bored, and I know I usually am bored because it takes me a lot to become entertained, but this was crazy bored. It's like the feeling you get when you don't have internet access and have to rely on the.. you know.. outdoors.. and books and everything. I mean, not that I don't like reading, but I am a tumblr person. I looked down at my phone. It's been 3 hours... "Screw it!" I grabbed my phone off the nightstand besides my bed and typed one simple word

To Alfie:

"Hey"

From Caroline

I got an instant reply, and we started texting for what seemed like ages. I looked down at the time on my phone. 12:04am. Wow.

To Alfie:

"It's 12am, we've been at this for hours"

From Caroline

I counted.. It took Alfie 12 seconds to reply.

To Caroline

"I know! Seems like I've known you for ages"

From Alfie

I smiled when I read that, it made me feel like I might actually enjoy the UK.

To Alfie:

"Yeah, i best go to bed"

From Caroline

I waited, but there wasn't a reply. He must have fallen asleep... I stopped waiting after ten minutes went by. I was about to put my phone back on the nightstand when I got another text.

To Caroline:

" *Clickity-Clack* *Clickity-Clack* "

From Alfie

What the hell?
