Neverending Nightmare

Days had passed in the peaceful cities of Crystal Tokyo and Elysion. Everything was in order,except for one thing. Queen Rhea at the last minute sent her court to the stars. Telling them it was mission to find other senshi beyond the stars.

With hesitation in her heart Queen Rhea decided it was due to the cities small number in senshi that made them a target for darkness. And to remedy the situation;Queen Rhea sent her private court among the stars. In search for brave senshi who could help. Sailor Bellatrix,a warrior bred for combat. Sailor Polaris of the coldest star. Sailor Gienah,the winged warrior. Sailor Andromeda guarded by the Godess Gaia.

Leaving the Earth I'm the hands of Neo Queen Serenity's court was efficency for he time being. But not for long. Watching her court leave her behind in their wake Queen Rhea left the large throne room and returned to the alter where she and her children often visited to pray to the Golden Crystal. Walking down the cobble steps to the white and diamond encrusted shrine. And at its center was the beautiful and glittering Golden Crystal. Or at least what was left of it.

Now suspended in mid air stood a dull imitation of the Golden Crystal. It's heavenly and life giving energy had faded quite abit leaving an almost empty husk. Queen Rhea's eyes widened as she witnessed the Golden Crystal. Immediately beginning to examine it,but as soon as she did trouble struck.

The moment Queen Rhea laid her hands on the now incomplete Golden Crystal it went berserk. Sending wave after wave of untamed power lashed out towards the Queen. The Queen stood her ground,refusing to bow before the power. Only to hear the many screams of her fellow people. Distracted Queen Rhea turned to see the massive energy the crystal was giving off stretched across the cities laying it to waste.

The Crystal needed the pure and positive energy of its true bearer Queen Rhea. But with her doubtful thoughts came a price. Being a reflection of her heart,the Crystal acted on its own accord. Seeking to somehow balance it's power by releasing quite abit of it. Fearing for her children's lives Queen Rhea called for her children. "Astra! Altair!-"She began as the burning of the Golden Crystal intensified scorching her hands horribly.

Queen Rhea flinched, biting her bottom lip as she whispered the name of her beloved. "Helios."The moment that name left her lips Rhea was roughly pushed to the ground by none other than Helios who stood before her. Allowing the Golden Crystal's energy to harm him. "Helios no!"Queen Rhea cried,struggling to her feet as she ran towards her love only to be held back by her own son. Who refused to look her in the eye.

"Release me,Altair!"Queen Rhea snapped pushing past her son only to be grabbed once more and this time held with abit more force. "Please! Your father -!"Rhea exclaimed tears rolling down her cheeks but Altair refused to acknowledge her tears or let his mother go. "I'm sorry."Altair choked out,now physically distraught as he muttered " He begged me to. I'm sorry mom."He whispered as Rhea turned to ask her son what he met but was silenced the moment Helios flashed her a final painful smile.

"Don't do this."Rhea whispered to her love who now stood almost entirely overtaken by the Golden Crystal. "I'm sorry,I guess this is the end."Helios whispered before his entire body seemed to dissipate into thin air. Leaving the now drained Golden Crystal on the ground.

Queen Rhea stood I utter disbelief before shaking herself from Altair's grip. Rushing to the exact spot where Helios once stood. The reality of everything hitting Rhea like nothing before. He was gone. Because of her. Because she doubted his love for her and now he was gone. Slowly Queen Rhea slumped to her knees,her emotion unreadable as she gritted her teeth. Altair stepped towards his mother before she released a sad filled cry into the air. Pouring her heart into it. For the other half of her heart had been taken from her.

Rhea's cry echoed throughout the entire city to even where Neo Queen Serenity heard it and felt her pain. "Oh no."Neo Queen Serenity whispered into the air knowing nothing good could come from this. Neo Queen Serenity peered up towards the sky sending her prayer for her dear friend into the sky. Hoping somehow it would reach her before things got out of hand.
