"Jem Jem Jem!" Lacy runs up to me as soon as I walk out of the nurses office.

"Aren't you supposed to be in sixth period?" I ask looking around, making sure no one sees me in my gym uniform.

She shakes her head. "Sixth Period ends in like five minutes. I got special permission to come check on you."

I nod, still holding the ice pack on my head.

"What happened to you?" She asks worriedly.

"Some Duche hit me with a dodgeball."

She winces. "Ouch."

I nod slightly, my head still hurting. "Let's go to the locker room before anyone sees me in my gym uniform. It's embarrassing."

She nods, and we hurry to the locker room. I hear them playing dodgeball, and know I have to hurry If I want to get changed before the girls pile into the locker room.

I go to my locker and unlock it, then get out my clothes. I rush to the stall and start to change.

Once I finish the final touches, I come out of the stall, and Lacy clicks her tongue. "Let's fix up your hair."

I look in the mirror and wince. My hair is a complete mess, and my mascara is dried on my cheeks.

Lacy pulls my hair into a ponytail, and pushes the strays back using the black headband. I fix her blonde hair into a ponytail, and use her Pink headband.

We are known as the Twins, because our outfits will match, yet different colors. Like today, I have black and she has pink.

I hear the bell, and cringe. As the girls start to crowd the room I grab my bag, and drag Lacy out of the stinky locker room.

I drag her to the cafe, then another bell rings; signaling the end of the day.

I look at Lacy and frown. "I want cake."

She bursts out laughing. "You always want cake."

I give her a pointed look, and she sighs in defeat. "Alright, I'll call George and tell him not to bring the limo, we are walking home."

I grin as Lacy goes to the corner and texts our Driver.

I look out the window of the worn down cafeteria, sigh and rub my light pink forehead. It hurts like a bitch.

My self pity is suddenly interrupted by my blonde haired 'twin'.

"Okay, so I called George and he said he will just meet us at the new bakery downtown."

"Great. Isn't that bakery only about half a block away?" I ask looking at the clock on my phone. 3:28.

She nods and we start walking down the halls. I start to push open the doors of the school and squeal. I fall back and land on my butt. I blink at the worn-out door as Lacy rushes beside me. The same idiot who hit me with the ball, Ahem, pummeled me with the ball, peaks around the door.

"Oops."

Lacy glares at the boy badly in need of a haircut. She helps me up and we push past him out the door of the worn down school.

Halfway down the street to the shop, I hear someone calling my name.

"JEMINIA! LACY! STOP RIGHT THERE!"

I stop so abruptly that my shoes slide on the ground and I ram into Lacy head first.

She glares at me, then sighs and helps me stand back up. "Your so freaking clumsy J."

We turn back to look at the person calling our names and sigh. "Josh." We say in unison as his bike hits a rock and he stumbles off into a phone pole five feet away from where we're standing.

Josh is a home schooled 17 year old, incredibly annoying, and lucky for us (hint the sarcasm) lives down the block from us.

Honestly if Josh didn't act like an immature child (and had any fashion sense) he would be really cute. He has curly hair that is usually hidden under a baseball hat, incredibly blue eyes, and really adorable dimples that appear every time he smiles, which is a lot.

He jumps up off his butt and grins that goofy grin at us. "Guess what!!"

"What Josh?" I ask as sweetly as possible, which is incredibly hard considering that he is wearing a plaid shirt and khakis.

"I'm not home schooled anymore! I get to go to your school!!" He grins jumping up and down, his shoes making a weird squeaking sound when they land on the pavement.

Lacy's jaw drops, and I think mine does too, but I can't tell. Josh is still jumping up and down, but notices our surprise and stops. "What..?"

Lacy smiles, recovering from her surprise, which I still can't do. "That's great! I hope we are in some of the same classes together. Bye Josh." She grabs my hand and drags me away to Makki's Bakery before he could say anything more. I mumble a goodbye when I finally recover from my shock, but we're already in the bakery seated down at a booth.

I look up and see Lacy's hands in her hair, hiding her eyes. "Lace? I know that him coming to our school is bad, but I-"

She shakes her head and I notices something fall off her face. "T-Ta--.." She mutters.

I look to the right and I understand. "Oh my god, Lacy I'm so sorry!"

Lacy shakes her head harder. "Let's get out of here." She gets up and grabs my wrist. She drags me past the waiter making his way to our table, and pushes past the man whore who's lips are currently attached to his blond bimbo.

He looks up in alarm. I glare at him as we pass him. "You Dick." I hiss, and drag Lacy walk out of the Bakery.

Once we get about a block away from the bakery, Lacy sinks down against a telephone pole. She blinks, and from what I can tell she is holding back tears.

"Are you okay?" I whisper, sitting down beside her.

She just nods and wipes her face with her jacket sleeve. I turn on my phone and call George to come pick us up. He says he is only a block away, and won't be long.

"Do you want to talk?"

Lacy shakes her head and looks down at her manicured nails.

Of course she doesn't want to talk.. She just saw her boyfriend who was supposed to be in California in town with another girl.

I look down at my phone and sigh. 55 messages, and all of them are from people who don't even remotely care what's up. I go through some, when one catches my eye. It's from an unknown number, which is weird because I'm on the no-contact list for telemarketers.

"Hey Jeminia, it's David. I'm in your TA class, and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime?"

I smile. David is this really dorky kid who sits a few desks away from mine, but he's really cute. Not to mention no one ever asks me out, only Lacy

I text him back. "Sure, that would be cool."

He responds immediately. "Great! How about Harvey's tomorrow at 7?"

"See you then!"

I hear a squeal beside me.

"OH EM GEE YOU JUST GOT ASKED OUT BY A SENIOR." Lacy squeals.

I roll my eyes. "Weren't you in tears a little while ago?"

"Yea, but who cares, I was going to dump him anyway." She says with a disgusted look.

I was about to remark when George pulled up in the limo.

"You're so lucky. We will have a talk about this later." Lacy whispers getting into the limo.

I just grin and follow her.
