Not Promised Tomorrow

The wondrous rain drops drizzled the vivid structures of Celeste academy. The water reflected the opulence and eminence of each ornate tower, gem, and garden.

It would be a captivating sight to behold but, at this moment, it is not.

Crimson red blood smeared almost every corner possible. Only the Celestial twelve managed to deny a contribution to this grotesque picture.

Demons of every kind, swarmed the area. There were Loupe Garou's, vampire bats, goblins with long sharp nails that had remnants of flesh dangling on the sides and many others that looked too horrendous that blood actually suited their black gross bodies. The 12 were in the open space of the training yard.

"Where's Valeriana?"
Corvan yelled as he swiftly slashed his sword to his right and partly spinned to thrust it into the heart the enemy behind him. It's dark black eyes met his for but a moment, before he retracted his blade.

"She is still in her quarters"
Charles stated in a calm but slightly breathless manner.
His glaive swung in a great range, managing to kill five demons at once. First at his front then right and left until almost at once the demons around him sizzled into black smoke.

"Is she still sleeping?!" Aneeka screamed as if to show irritation. She shot a demon at her left before rolling forward and thrusting her legs out ,and in the process, pinning a demon to the ground with her standing on top of it. She then shot it's head.

"No"Brindon apathetically stated while expertly firing three arrows at once. Amazingly, they hit six vampire bats; two for each arrow.

"She could'nt come out. Too many demons, too sensitive to presence." Tamara yelled from the roof in a playful manner. She then slid down and used her momentum to land her two swords with great force, striking down two demons. She then twisted her blades, the sound of cracking bones resonated through the battle field.

"Keelan, Zelvin, and Elfre have gone to her aid" Raziel informed. He then let his whip out encircling the neck of a Loupe Garou at his left. He dragged it to smack against two goblins at his right before he let his whip out again catching a vampire bat in the air. He then pulled it towards him and, with his bare hands, he electrecuted it until it dissolved into mere ashes.

Bang!!
A loud crash was heard from their residence.

"Ahhhh! Dont drool on that. That's my History report! It took me all night to write that !!! Arggghhhhh!!"
Valeriana's voice echoed oh so loudly. Ironically this is what caused them to divert their attention not the crash.

Bang !!!
This time the earth slightly rumbled.

"Could you stop doing that !? You might kill us all!!!"screamed Elfre.

"C'mon. Give me a break would you ?! This is hard!" Keelan whined.

"Stop talking! More fighting!"
Zelvin said with agitation.

Their incessant bickering could be heard all the way to the yard causing the others to either sigh, groan or chuckle.

Corvan was cornered by five demons. He ran on the wall at his right then he plunged his sword down killing the first demon. He then turned 90 degrees as his sword swung out forming a perfect semi circle that got two demons to erupt into a whisper of smoke. He then thrusted his sword to the ground and used it as support as he jumped in a way kicking the fourth demon down to the ground. As he landed, he brought his sword out and it cut straight through the fifth demon, splitting it in half.

"Ouch! You stupid demon get off of me!!" he heard Valeriana scream from afar.

The realization dawned on him making his eyes widened before he dashed to her way.
