For you...

Tossing and turning, Corvan was sweating while he lay in deep slumber. It was a peaceful cold night and exactly five days after his horrendous experience.He then gasped out of his horrid dream, as if he was drowning.

He calmed his erratically beating heart and knew once more, it was everything but true; a reoccurring nightmare it was.

Corvan, sitting up, looked left and right; before he slipped out of his bed. Though this has been occuring almost every night, he still could not help but feel the longing of her presence. As if in a trance, he sauntered like a possessed man to whom else? Need I say who?

He breathed out heavily as he gripped the knob; hoping that Valeriana was sleeping like an angel. The door opened to present a majestic room filled with junk food?

Valeriana was sniffling on the floor, while seeming to watch a movie on the laptop that lay on her lap. Food covered almost half of the enormous room.

" Damn you!!! How could this be........ " She said with hate as tears pooled in her eyes. She then stuffed her mouth with an oreo and sprayed whipped cream into her mouth until it almost overflowed.

Corvan face showed surprise, disbelief, and disgust all at the same time. However, before he could shut the door, Valeriana spotted him.

" Corvan...." She said, with a pleading look.

He couldn't close the door. He heard her say his name that way before; a way he wished he would never hear in real life. He apathetically entered.

"Yes?" He said inquiringly.

" He's...... gone" She cried with obvious pain.

Hearing this, Corvan made his way through the food to Valeriana's side.

" Who?" He spoke with seriousness.

" Jack"

"A relative?"

"No"

"A friend?"

"No"

" A rival?"

"No"

Corvan made a guttural sound before forcing out his next words.

"A lover?" He said with reluctance.

Valeriana gazed into his emerald orbs and Corvan stared at the whip cream on her cheek.

"Yes" She said with gloominess.

Corvan looked away and huffed. He then reached for a cookie and chewed it as if it was the cookie he hated.

" I can't believe he died that way...So what after everything, it just ends like that! What will happen to Rose now?!"

" Who are you blabbering on about?" Corvan said irately.

" Jack!??!!. You imbecile!"

Valeriana screamed as she motioned her hand to the movie playing on her laptop. She had now placed it on the bed.

Corvan quickly redirected his gaze to the moving pictures then sighed.

" Fool ... You trouble yourself over a matter that isn't even existent !? Such insolence..." He said with aggravation as he massaged the bridge of his nose.

Valeriana took no notice and just stared off into space.

" How could he die! Why did he die? Why must anyone die? How could you let this be Corvan?" Valeriana whimpered as she grabbed his shirt and started shaking him.
