"Hello Mae." I jerk my head around to see Willa in my bedroom. I stood there in shock, unable to say anything. "What's wrong friend, do you hate me?" She then grows huge, like a skyscraper towering over me. I quickly shake my head at her, scared that she might do something horrible. "You're scared of me Mae flower. You're afraid I might hurt you. Well that's too bad because I'm already hurt enough!"
She looks at me with fury in her eyes. I try to speak but my mouth is sewn shut. I try screaming to et her attention but she's already stomping her giant feet in anger. She looks down at me with tears in her cheeks. When I look at her, I'm terrified. She's bleeding through almost all the sockets in her face. The thick red liquid seeps out of her eyes and nose into her mouth.
"Why didn't you save me?" She said choking on the blood in her mouth. She then started falling. I gasped and realized my mouth was back to normal.
"Will no!" I screamed, but it was too late. She was still falling, and I realized it was right above me. Her shadow got darker and darker, and I ran for my life. But it felt like I was going nowhere. Right as I looked up, I was immediately squashed by her huge body.
I shot out of my covers, sweat covered my entire body. It was just a nightmare. I checked the clock by my bed, it read 3:45 am. I sighed. I've been having nightmares about Willa ever since the accident. No Mae. Never think about happened to Willa. It's too painful... But by that point, I was already thinking about what happened.
After everyone fell asleep, it was just Willa and I awake in the shed. "We have to get out of here." I whisper through the darkness, trying not to wake the others. Willa is silent, but I can hear her shift right next to me. I hear someone get up so I quickly pretend I'm sleeping.
"Psst" I hear someone say in the darkness. When I stay quiet, I get a small shove and I whisper, "Hey!"
"Shh" the person says. I gasp as I feel someone untying my restraints. "I'm gonna get you out of here." She says in my ear so quiet I barely heard. Right as she unties the last knot, I jerk up and rush over to Willa and start helping her.
After the restraints are torn off, I hear the same person whisper, "Hurry, before someone wakes up." We snake our way through the sleeping bags. I'm practically dragging Willa through. "Willa come on." I whisper directly into her ear. She doesn't say anything but goes a little faster.
'We're almost there' I think. But when I take one more step, someone stirs next to me. It takes all I have in me not to gasp. 'Please no Please no.' I think. I stand like a statue for about 3 minutes until I am sure they are asleep. I start walking again but more carefully. I see a dark silhouette next to the opening beckoning us to come.
I rush over and she opens the door super fast, trying to avoid creaking. It gives a quick creak and I grit my teeth together. But soon we are running out of that horrid place. I enjoy the cool breeze on my face as we rush out. Once we are out of breath, we stand and take a break.
