Joule meets Celeste and Vox

All around Joule explosions erupted as she fought with all her might, her mech spitting sparks everywhere, using its every bit of crystal power to keep her alive. She knew that sooner or later her mech would run out of energy,  and the enemy would swarm her and push on through towards the crystal. The unnatural pair had to get away and regain power. With a sudden push of her big red button, a blinding  laser erupted from the front of her mech. When the death ray stopped, there was nothing but charred minions, scattered all along the path

"Looks like modern art to me," she said, a grin plastered on her grease-covered face.

She didn't have much time to spare. The laser had only bought her some time and her mech was completely wrecked, sparks and bolts flying everywhere. She quickly retreated to the jungle and found herself a discreet spot where should could run repairs on her steaming mech. She unscrewed the main panel where the power source was hidden and saw that it was fried, "Drat! Must've been the laser. Oh well I'll just go back to base and grab a ne...." Suddenly came a rustling in the bushes. She quickly turned around and saw a girl and a boy standing there. The girl had very long hair and she held a staff which had a shining crystal on the top. The boy had a pair of big headphones that looked like they didn't fit and he had a cassette player hanging from his waist. She backed away from fear. "Holy Kraken! Who... Who are you?" She asked

"Who are you?" Asked the girl, with a puzzling look. She didn't seemed to be frightened at all but she griped her staff a bit tighter.

"I'm not answering until you answer first." Replied Joule. The boy nudged the girl and wispered something to her. Joule could only make out a few words but she knew that she couldn't trust no one. She started to look for an escape plan and immediately thought of her mech. Maybe she could harness what's left of the power source and make her escape? She looked closer at the battery reserve and saw that it was flickering. Hmm... no that wouldn't work... The battery is too damaged. Maybe she could defend herself... the sword! No, that wouldn't work either, it's too heavy for her to lift plus it would require energy. She desperately tried to find an escape plan before they did something bad to her. Then she remembered. She had a secret compartment with emergency supplies which had a small army knife inside. She slowly started inching towards her mech. The girl and boy gave her puzzled looks. 

"Don't mind me. Just checking up on my mech here!" said Joule with a nervous chuckle. The girl took a step forward, clutching her staff.

 "Listen child, I don't know who you are and neither do you, me. But I need help finding a certain person who walked into the woods." She paused and waited for an answer. 

"Well first of all, I'm not a child!" Said joule with an irritated look, "Second of all, I don't know if anyone went into the woods lately, I was doing most of my battles up by the main road but, I did happened to see a wounded warrior walking into that area over there."  Joule pointed towards a patch of trees and tall grass. The girl started towards the area where Joule pointed with the boy following. Joule sighed a sigh of a relief... They were gone. She returned back to her mech to see if she could run minor repairs on the battery or at least to get her back to the base. She reached to disconnect the battery but pulled her hand back with a loud yell of pain. It shocked her! It began to grew slightly brighter but it still flickered. 

"Well now I know that it still works!" She decided to walk back to base which was a decent walking distance from where she was. Joule went around the back and opened the emergency compartment where she grabbed the knife, her items that she bought, her map and a few halcyon potions. She also grabbed her bag of gold she had for the shop on her way to the base. She put all this in a bag and strapped it to her back and started back to base when she was suddenly stopped by a voice. She turned around and saw the girl and boy walking back to where they last met her. 

"Hey child!" Called the girl. This aggrivated Joule so she called back,

"I'm not a child!!" but Joule quickly realized her mistake and tried to hide her self before they found her. The boy and girl looked towards where Joule called out and saw her trying to find a hiding spot and began to approach her. The looked down and saw her sitting in the bush with her knees close to her chest. She gave a nervous chuckle and said, "Hehe.. Well hello again"

"Listen child," Joule burrowed her brows at this comment, "err... Um person, I need you help me. I'm chasing a dangerous person and we're too week to take care of her,"

"Um what makes you think I can trust you?" The girl looked towards the mech that was standing, with the panel wide open. The girl approached the mech and peered inside, where flickered the battery. She looked back at Joule and asked, "Is this yours?"

"What is it to you?" Asked Joule with a mocking tone.

"Listen I can repair it in exchange if you help me."

"And how will you do that?" The girl raised her staff and pointed it towards the battery. In an instant, the staff produced a bright light and appeared a small glowing orb inside the battery. Instantly the battery shone brighter then it ever did and the mech came to life with energy flowing through the sword.

"No fricken way!" Said Joule with a surprised tone, "How did you... What?" She asked, astonished.

"It's magic." Said the girl.

"Oh yeah, the same lame old excuse that everyone says." Said Joule while rolling her eyes.

"So will you help me?" Asked the girl.

"Alright fine, but I barely know anything about you." The girl considered this request before finally saying, 

"My names Celeste, this here is my brother Vox."

"Huh... Nice to meet you Vox, Celeste" said Joule. Celeste, looking disappointed asked, "And you?"

"Oh! I'm sorry, where are my manners, I'm Joule" said Joule extending a hand. Vox shook it without thinking while Celeste was cautious but shook her hand eventually.

"So where to?" Said Joule.

"Follow me" said Celeste and they walked towards the path of wounded warrior.
