The Fold: Ringo's POV:

Hey guys, sorry it took to long to publish this new chapter but I was a bit side tracked and busy with a lot of things. I am back though and I will continue writing more chapters. This chapter that I wrote was an idea I had in my mind for some time and it mostly revolves around the theme of a group of people trapped in a in closed part of the world that they don't even know it's enclosed. So I hope you guys enjoy and don't worry, more chapters will be coming in the next few days.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

A loud ringing filled my ears as my alarm clock went off. It was 6:00 am on a Wednesday and today is when I have to go to work. I quietly put on my clothes, followed by my armor and I grabbed my gun that was laying on the night table. Quietly I exited the bed room where me, Taka, Adagio, Ardan, Blackfeather, Glaive, Krul and Saw all slept. I know it was an odd roommate coupling but it wasn't me who chose who I stayed with. Ever since the incident, they told us that we would get new lives, a new identity, that they would provide fresh food, a house, a warm bed to sleep and whatever item we wanted and in return we had to work. Each of us every week had to go out to our job of fighting in the fold but not at the same time, no. Each of us were assigned days, like how today is when I have to work. Then once our week is up its time for the other group, the girl group from what I've heard. We've never seen the girl group nor given any information about them. Occasionally I get images of me and my friends sitting in a large room and in front of us are the girls but It might be just a dream. I slowly went into the kitchen where I tried to find a bottle of alcohol but to no avail.
"Damn!" I muttered under my breath. I guess I'll have to go and grab some halcyon potions cause they got some alcohol in them. Seeing that it was already 6:05, I quickly exited the house and proceeded walking towards the building that housed the fold. The streets were empty but they always were. I've never seen a living being other then me, my friends and the people who work at the fold. This might seem weird to most people but I've got used to it, it's... Like a second nature. In 5 minutes time I got to a giant skyscraper and entered the main lobby. There sat a man who wore just regular black pants and white shirt. He also had a pair of glasses that sat crooked on his long nose.

"Ahh Mr. Ringo, how nice to see you." Replied the man. After all these years I still don't know his name

"Yeah, yeah... Hello to you too." I replied walking towards a giant machine that looked like a metal detector. Before I could enter the fold, I first had to walk trough this machine which I didn't know what it did or why I needed to but all I know is that I won't be let inside if I don't go past it. I heard that small little *beep* that told me I'm free to go on

"Go right ahead Mr. Ringo, happy hunting." And the man gave a small wave and a smile. I walked down a large white corridor which had no doors or anything and at the end was a bend which led to a metal door. As I opened the metal door I was greeted by another man, this time he wore blue scrubs, something like a doctor would wear. Usually there's two guys here but this time there's only one. Hmmm... That's strange.

"Ahh Mr. Ringo, how pleasant it is to see you. You ready to commence your fight in the fold?" Croaked the man, he had a seductive voice, the type of voice of people who would sit you down in a dark room and question you.

"Yeah but where's the other guy who worked here?" I asked

"Ahh.. Well he called in sick today so it will be me who's going to get you into the fold." Replied the man with a small smile.

"Well this is strange but alright." I stepped forward on to a pad that had glowing blue lights surrounding it, this is what was going to get me into the fold. The man came up to me and handed me a sack filled with gold, he then went back around to the control room.

"Everything fine up there Mr. Ringo?" Asked the man.

"Yeah, let's just go already." I saw the man flip a few switches and I heard the hum of the machine resonating on the walls. Instantly I saw I giant bright flash of light and a chill over my body, it felt like I was being jerked suddenly upwards. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I wasn't in the room I was before.. But I was in, the fold.

Sorry for the short chapter but I am getting back into the habit of writing. If you all like this chapter I might post a follow up or maybe an entirely new story.
