CHP 41: Another Powerful Embrace

Continuation at Mistic High School hall...

Zee calmed herself down and quickly turned to Baekhyun with a furious face. "This is really frustrating you know?"

"I know. Sit down, sit down," he make her sit down while he sit beside her.

Zee closed her eyes and breath in, breath out. "You can just leave me alone."

"I won't. In fact, I can't," he smiled.

"Why? You still need to rehearse, right?"

"I just have my own reason."

Somehow, she feel secured around him. She feel her heart weakening. Not long after, Baekhyun spot the letter that Luhan left behind. "What is this?" he pick sit up.

Zee looked in horror and try her best to avoid him from reading it. "It's nothing. Don't read it!" she try to reach for the paper.

"Hey. Don't be like this. Can't you just share with me even a little?" he joked.

Zee was trying her best but her opponent have much longer hand than her in fact, he was taller than her. Baekhyun just smiled at her and finally, he start to read it. Zee freeze in place looking at his expression. Baekhyun's smile slowly faded as the words slowly processing in his mind.

Luhan saw the incident from a far. He also was shocked. He freeze while watching both of them. He saw Baekhyun's smile fading. He was sure that it was all his fault. He mentally slapped himself.

"What's wrong?" Xiumin asked putting his hand over Luhan's shoulder.

"L-look at them," Luhan pointed at the both couple.

"Why are they freezing? Did something happen? Did I accidentally freeze them? " Xiumin asked.

"N-no. Not that. Of course, something very bad is happening right now," Luhan answered with guilty written all over his face.

"What are you looking at?" Lay approach them.

None of them answered him so he decided to follow their gazes. Slowly, his eyes landed at the both couple. Not long after, everyone gather around them and everyone was witnessing everything. Including Fifi and Lily.

"Baekhyun," Zee finally spoke up.

"Wow. You have a secret admire," he fake a smile.

Somehow, Zee was hurting after hearing his words. She can see his face which was full with pain. It really pained her seeing his face like that. But Baekhyun was in much more pain after reading the letter.

"It's not like what you're thinking," Zee said.

"So you accept him?" Baekhyun asked.

"N-no. Who would even accept a stranger," Zee immediately answered.

"That's a pity. I was really hoping that you would accept him," Baekhyun said. He was certainly out of his mind for saying those stupid words.

"W-what?" Zee asked didn't believe what he just said. Can I just slap you and say ouch? "So you want me to partner up with a stranger?"

"Maybe?" he shrugged his shoulder. He just want to slap himself right now but his jealousy took over him.

"If that's what you want, then fine!" Zee shouted. The light in hall starts to get a bit dimmer. Everyone's head in the hall immediately darted at them.

"Listen--" Baekhyun wanted to apologize but Zee stopped him.

"I have nothing to listen to. You are the one who want this!"
