Burning in hell, InfamousDiablo
-------------------
"Is that all sir?"
"Yes," Emmett closed his menu and so did I, giving it to the waiter who bowed courteously and left.
Emmett brought me to some fancy restaurant by the intersection. Chandeliers hung from the ceilings painted in colorful mandalas, the edges where the wall and ceiling met was adorned with beautifully carved gold cornices, the walls were wallpapered in geometric floral designs in elegant colors, and the floor was marble, almost perfectly reflecting like a mirror
"You okay?" Emmett's voice came out worried, his eyebrows clashes and a deep frown tainted his face.
"Yeah, of course." I smiled the best I could. I would've investigated on the other Leas if Emmett wasn't around and kept bugging me about dinner when I decided to take a detour to see Lea Wilkins. Turns out, she wasn't Matt's type. Trust me, I would know.
"Why were you interviewing Lea again?"
"Lea who?" I played innocent.
He smirked. "Parker,"
I held in a huff of frustration. "I told you, I was helping Ris."
"Uh-huh, who happens to going home when I ran across her." He raised an eyebrow.
"She was tired, told me to run a few things." I shrugged, lying perfectly while I keep scratching the ends of both my thumbs together.
He eyed my plate. "And those few things happens to be both Leas?"
"Not all Leas, there was the others from the Glee club." I muttered, guilt consuming me.
"Okay, fine. If you don't want to talk about it, I'll drop it." He took the sweating glass in his hands and drank, his Adam'a apple bobbing as he did. I found myself gulping down whatever it was clogging my throat.
He put it down, eyes fixed on me.
"What?" I drop my hands to my lap and stared back.
"The light suites you," He motions around. I look up, the chandeliers gave out bright white lights but there was also pin lights giving warm yellow light that said to make a personal look more beautiful.
"Funny, so you don't think I'm actually pretty then?"
"Who said I didn't?" He half-smiled and made my heart leaped, and as if it was on cue Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams played. I look at the small platform at the end of the restaurant, the live band has taken its place on it, playing a song.
He's so tall and handsome as hell,
He's so bad but he does it so well..I kept staring at Emmett, unaware. I noticed how his narrow jet black eyes took the breath out of me, the way his lips curved into a smile, the way his cheeks turn light pink, his heart-shaped face, his broad shoulders, and the way his shirt fitted perfectly on his muscled upper body. My chest tightened and I exhaled desperately as I realized I was holding my breath far too long.
"What? What's going on?" He amusingly chuckled.
"Nothing," I gasped and recovered from my own stupidity, "It's my jacked up brain."
