Burning in hell, InfamousDiablo
---------------------
I didn't feel like interacting with anyone else, much less go to school. Just like last Saturday morning, I just wanted to be left alone and sulk in my room but the universe was like 'Nah girl, Therese needs you for assistance, Prom commitee needs you for Winter dance designs, and oh look you forgot to call Emmett' so out of sheer shame, I got up, showered, dressed, and blankly went inside his car without so much as a goodmorning.
The car strolled passed the guards and into the parking lot.
"Well, that was awkward." Emmett laughed but I couldn't find it in me to even give out a single syllable chuckle. "Hey, El? Is there something you'd like to tell me?"
"No," I was acting out a little bitchy than usual and I couldn't help it, I swear. My mind was just automatically registering words I would say. I pushed the door open and quickly slide out,but apparently not quick enough.
Emmett rounded the car just in time to catch me closing his door. He pinned me to the body his Mercedes. "El?"
"What?" Out of guilt, I tried to look anywhere but his eyes.
"Whatever it is that's bothering you, leave it. It isn't worth your beauty, okay? How about I take you to dinner later?"
My mind had snapped. It isn't worth your beauty, how about I take you to dinner later? Those were the exact words of Michael when he tried to BUY me back.
"What is with you and money? Do you honestly think you could win me with these lavish dates?" I tried to push him back, out of my way but he just pushed back too, only harder. "What?"
"I'm not winning you over with lavish dates." His voice was barely audible. I began feeling guilty again. "If you don't want to go that's more than fine for me. Just tell me."
I closed my eyes, ransacking my mind for a perfect excuse for my snappy attitude but I came up with none. So telling the truth was the second best thing. "Look, Em, I'm sorry. I'm having a really hard time.." I sighed, casting downwards glances.
A hand caressing over my face made me gasp. He tucked loose strands of hair behind my ear before lifting my chin to face him. "I'm sorry for pushing you."
"No, no. You didn't." Suddenly becoming quite worried about the frown denting his gorgeous face. "Emmett, it's not your fault, okay? I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you."
"It's fine, really." He leaned in, making me hold my breath, but I release it once he planted his lips on my cheeks. Only on my cheek. "So dinner?"
"Dinner." I agreed.
He walked me to class before darting off to his. Therese already caught me walking with the captain of the football team before I even appeared at the door, she was at my face in no time. Talk about Journalists skills.
"What was that?" Therese bobbed his eyebrows up and down with a knowing smirk.
"What? Nothing." I smiled deceitfully, sitting down on my usual seat.
"That didn't look like nothing." She was being quite nosey. "What's with you and Emmett Blaze?"
"Nothing, seriously." But I gave her a wink and she gasp with a smile.
"You and him? Seriously?" Therese tied her cherry red hair into a messy knot. "So, you're over with... You know who?"
Therese was one of my best friends, apart from Matt, she was his girl version but just more intriguing, sociable, and party going. So normally, she knew about Matt and how I secretly call him my Matty.
