Chapter 17- Shopping. Ugh!

Danni and Tori have been growing out of some of their clothes so today I am buying them party supplies and new clothes. First I went to Babies R Us and grabbed a cart and put Tori in it. Since Danni is a daddy's girl he picked her up and went to explore the clothes over on the other end. So Tori and I walked around and she spotted this really cute jean jumper that was a dress.I'm not one of those moms that makes their twins dress the same, I won't do that with my quads either. So I grabbed that and put it in the cart. She could wear that to parties and special occasions. We need a bathing suit. I want 1 piece one for her.

"Tori baby look for a bathing suit."I told her.

"Okay mama." She replied pointing to this red bathing suit with black polka dots. It looked like a ladybug. She loved it so much when I tried to take it out of her hands she cried a little bit, so I left her alone. Next, she needed play clothes. I picked out these for her. A little hooded pink sweatshirt and blue sweatpants. I found her pink and white sneakers. For other play clothes I got her stretchy jean capris and a short sleeve green and black striped shirt. I knew Lucas wasn't going to get Danni shoes so I brought Tori over to the shoe section and got them both white sandals and Danni blue and white sneakers. Lucas came back with Danni and they had picked out for a bathing suit a 1 piece tie die suit. She got a little yellow sundress for parties and all that jazz. Lucas said he picked out her play clothes which include a white sweatshirt and pink sweatpants, a short sleeve black shirt with a butterfly on it and green capris. I think we were pretty much done with shopping at Babies R Us. We went into line and the cashier named Kimmi asked the girls what their names were and how old they are.

"My name Danni."Danni said looking down. "I gonna be 1 next week." The cashier giggled.

"My name Tori and I gonna be 1 next week too."

"Ohh...Twins?"She asked.

"Yep."

"The total is $35.40."I paid and we were on our way to Party City to find Abbey Cadabbey themed stuff. The girls watch Sesame Street almost EVERYDAY. Their favorite character is well, Abbey Cadabbey. While we were driving to Party City Danni drifted off to sleep. I could tell Tori was tired because she kept closing her eyes and snapping them back open. We pulled up to the store and both the girls were asleep. Lucas stayed in the car while I went in the store. I quickly grabbed a cart and zoomed to the last isle to fing Abbey Cadabbey party stuff. I grabbed everything I needed and payed for the stuff.

"Little girls huh?"The man cashier asked.

"Uh, yep."I replied to the question. He pressed some buttons and the total came to $24.50. I payed in debit and left to see Lucas asleep and Danni staring out the window at me.

"Mama!"She cried, so I opened her door and took her out.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Dada won't wake up!"

"Baby, because he's a heavy sleeper."

I put her back in her car seat and watched her poke him. He groaned which told me he would wake up soon. I shook him and finally he woke up. I got in the passenger side and we drove off. We got home in the matter of 10 minutes and I grabbed both the girls and brought them upstairs and put them both in the guest room. Danni started to cry and then Tori started throwing a tantrum.

"Victoria Marie Patterson knock it off!"I said while smacking her butt.

"Your mean!"She screamed while smacking me on the face. I scooped her up quickly and put her in her room.

"Alana!"Lucas screamed from downstairs.

"What?"I screamed back.

"Come here!" I made my way downstairs to see him with his arms crossed.

"Why did you do that to Tori?"

"Because she called me mean and smacked me right on the face."I said while touching the place she smacked me.

"Oh. She deserved it then. What about Danni?"

"She's sound asleep."

"Good, it's been a hectic day."He said plopping down on the couch.

"I can't believe I'm 17, and the girls will be 1 next week."I said plopping down on the couch next to him. "And I bet Tori will fall asleep soon."

"Yeah probably,we should get to bed hun, it's 9:56. Almost 10 o' clock." He said grabbing my arm, helping me up. We walked to our room got changed and fell onto our bed talking quietly.I finally fell asleep after talking about our quads.
