After brooklyn an Jamal's confused friendship, Jamal's uncle called and told him that his grandma was in the hospital, she had a heart attack. Jamal packed up and was about to leave but Brooklyn didn't want him to. She wanted to finish school first but Jamal wasn't feeling that. He was focused on his grandma

Jamal left, he couldn't stay, his grandma needed him. A year went by and Brooklyn was ready to graduate

"Brooklyn Miller" the principal called. She was so happy to graduate. King and everyone else was chanting her on but she wanted jamal to be there with her. She just turned 18 and after graduation, she was go be knocked on the plain. After everyone did there thing,it was time to flip them hats off and thats what she did

She told all her friends that she's going to Florida with king. Kingston really wanted to graduate with her and plus Jamal told him to make sure Brooklyn came to Florida that very night. Brooklyn was torn once she got on the plain. She throw away her phone. She couldn't deal so she thought cutting communication would be good for her. She was mad/lost because her and Ms Ida was like twins! Loved/did everything when she was little.
