Chapter 02: Fever

"Blake we have received an invitation of a letter of the South Pack" Blake's father reads the letter that have just arrive "its an invitation to a welcoming party- this will help us to regain our lost-"

"I'm not going" Blake lays down on the couch with him arm covering my eyes

"Comon dear, just for a little while"His mom bends down next to him

He sighs "I'll think about it, for now I would like to be alone" Blake stands up and walks towards his room. As his parents watch his son with a worry expression

"Do you think he will be alright, dear" Blake's mother, Luna Laura ask, hugging her mate, Alpha Mateo. Her mates hugs her closer and sighs " He's strong, honey, I know soon he will be regain the strength.

Blake enters to his rooms, closes his door, sliding down onto the door. Bringing his knees towards his chest and resting his face on his knees.

It been 2 months since his sister died in a car accident with her mate leaving 2 children orphans. Yani and Lucas son and daughter, Tony and Nani, were taken by Lucas parents and during the holidays they'll come over. Blake hasn't got over his older sister, since she was the only one who understood him well and cares for him. Before the accident, they had an argument about the next alpha.

"Blake! Listen to me! Mom and dad wants you to be the next alpha. Not me! Why won't you understand!?" She yells at me from across the living room from our old house. She's always been a clam person and reasonable but people have limits and she had reached her limit

"Don't you get it, Yani! I. Don't. Want. Too.! I'm not ready. I'm not strong and I want to do what I want to do and that is following my dreams!" I yell back at her, she never have heard me yell which took her back and still stood up and came walking towards me.

"Blake, please take the roll of alpha for the family, I'm not capable to full role that position. I know you want to follow your dreams but-"

"No! If I say no, it means no, don't you understand or do I have to draw it for you"

"One thing is that I'm trying to be reasonable with you but another is for you to respect me"

"What is to respect? You're such a hypocrite!I don't even believe you're my sister" Blake face was suddenly struck by yani palm, leaving his left cheek red

"Enough already!" Laura comes in and is distraught at what she have heard and seen.

"You're right mom, enough already, do us a favor, leave. Get out. Do what you always have done. Get out!" He yells making his sister shiver from fear. She had tears rolling from her cheeks, grabs her bags.

"One day you'll understand why...why I'm doing this" she walks out from house.

2 days later when Yani and Lucas were heading to the airport, they got into an accident that cost their lives.

Since them Blake has blame himself for letting her go.

After he unexpectedly fell asleep, he wakes up and looks around, seeing his still in the same position as he was when he fell asleep. He stands up and decides to take a shower.

"I prepared for you lunch, just in case." Blake's mom, zips his back, like if she was treating like a kid going to his first day of school.

"Mom,I'm old enough...but thanks anyways" Blake's kisses her on her forehead, ready to go to school.

As he heading to school, he cant help feeling an anxious feeling to speed up to school, like if something is waiting for him

He arrives to school, 10 minutes after the bell rang.

On the office, he introduce himself as new kid, the secretary of school, hands him his classes scheduled.

First period math, nice

As he enters a intoxicated smell hit him like if he was hit by car, a mixture of blueberry and apples .That's when Ella and him make eye contact. For both of them, it seem like the people around them disappeared. There was no one and all Ella wants is to hug him, she knew that he was her mate. Ella couldn't help but to give a weak smile as she stands up but faints. Nicole catches her before landing on the floor. Blake couldn't move. He's just surprised, in shock to find his mate.

Jacob, rushes to Ella side and touches her forehead "she's burning, we gotta take her to the nurse" Blake felt a sharp pain of jealousy in his chest, he just met her and he doesn't like the fact that another man is touching his mate.

Jacob carries her in bridal style but is stop by Blake, when he puts himself in front of them "what are you doing! Get out of the way" Jacob says

Blake couldn't move, his wolf was getting angry, he doesn't want anyone to touch her but Blake steps aside, lowering down his head. He just can't accept that shes his mate.

"Ella?" The nurse asks quitely

Ella gently wakes up, looks around and notice she fainted again. She quickly sits down on the side of the bed. She touches her forehead and cover her eyes "I found my mate" she whispers to herself smiling to herself.
