Teddy was the first to join us. He had a different shirt on, this one he was wearing is green. He had an identical bedroll slumped over his shoulder, but he was also carrying a full canteen. We all sat and waited for Gordie and Vern, who were taking forever. I finally saw them turning the corner and walking to us, with similar supplies as Teddy and Chris. "Oh look who decided show up," Teddy smirked.

"Sorry I took forever. My mom made sure I was ready, and made a checklist with everything I needed, but then she complained that I needed to take everything on the list, and then she made me do the dishes." Teddy flipped his hair. "Gee Vern, I'm so sorry. Do you want me to kiss your forehead to make you feel better?" Teddy talked in a sarcastic, high pitched voice. Vern rolled his eyes. We started to walk through town, and I could tell we were getting closer to leaving Castle Rock since all of the houses were becoming more spread out, and there were less shops. All of a sudden, Teddy stops. "Shit guys, I forgot something," Teddy said, looking anxious. "What is it? What did you forget?" Vern asked. Teddy stayed silent. "Vern, come with me." Teddy almost demanded it. "Me? Why?" Vern started to whine. It hurt my ears. "Because your so whiny that they wont forget to leave us, now come on," Teddy started to walk away, and Vern soon followed him. I felt bad for that kid sometimes.

We all stayed silent until we were walking around the side of the Blue Point Diner. "Hey wait guys," Chris said, stopping us. "D'you guys wanna see something?" I looked at Chris. He looked serious, but also like he was hiding something. "Sure, what?" Gordie asked. He sounded strange, and Chris noticed it, too. He had been quite the whole walk, and I mean that's not unusual, but it was different that it usually was. It was as if he was tense or something. "Yeah, I'm fine," Gordie said, so casually. It sounded fake. "Come on!" Chris started to run behind the building. "What is it?" I asked. I had no clue what he was going to show us. "You got to see this," Chris said, only making the suspense worse. "Come on, man, what is it? Come on, what is it?" Gordie and i had followed Chris, and we were all behind the building. Chris looked around, and started to grab something out from inside of his bedroll. "You wanna be the Lone Ranger or the Cisco-kid?" Chris asked, as he pulled out a gun. My eyes got wide, and I saw Gordie with the same reaction.

"Walking, talking, Jesus! Where'd you get this?" Gordie mumbled as Chris handed him the gun. "Hawked it from my old man's bureau. It's a .45," Chris added. Gordie looked at him as if he just insulted him. "I can see that," he said in a sarcastic tone. "Pchough! You got shells for it?" I snickered when Gordie made a shooting noise.

"Yeah. Took all that was left in the box. My dad will think that he used them himself shooting at beercans while he was drunk," I flinched when Chris mentioned his dad. He never really talked about him. "Pchough!" Gprdienmade another shooting noise. "Is it loaded?" Gordie asked. "Hell, no! Who d'you think I am?" Chris asked. Gordie pulls the trigger, aimed at a trash can. We all jumped when the bullet collided with the metal.

"JESUS!" We all yelled in sync, and we started to run. I sure as hell didn't want to get my ass caught, especially since my parents were probably looking for me. They would be pist. "Let's get out of here, come on!" Gordie yelled to us. If Chris did that purposely, that was a pretty dick move. "Gordie did it, Gordie Lachance, Gordie Lachance!" Chris was practically drunk on laughter, bumping into a trashcan and stumbling while running. "Shut up!" Gordie yelled back at him, sounding real pissed. I heard door open from where we just were as I was still running. "Hey, who did that? Who's letting cherrybombs off back here?" I heard a women say faintly. We stopped running when we reached the street. "Oh man, you should have seen your face! Yeah that was cool! That was really fine!" Chris was still hysterical. "You knew it was loaded, you wet end!" Gordie looked mad. He didnt think it was funny at all. "I'll be in trouble now that Tupper-babe saw me," he said, sounding annoyed. "Shit, Gordie, she thought it was firecrackers," Chris sounded crushed when he heard how angry Gordie was. "I don't care. It was a mean trick, Chris." Gordie would probably laugh at Chris's joke, but this wasn't Gordie. Something was bothering him, and it has been ever since he met us at the culdesac. "Hey, Gordie." Chris stopped us from walking further. "I didn't know it was loaded. Honest." Chris felt bad, I mean I would if I did something like that. "You swear?" Gordie asked as his eyes narrowed. "Yeah, I swear." Chris had completely stopped smiling at this point. "On your mother's name?" Gordie asked. "Yeah." Chris sounded uncomfortable. Where is his mom? "Even if she goes to hell because you lied?" Gordie pressed on. "Yeah, I swear!" Chris's cheeks, turned pink.

"Pinky swear?" Gordie said this so seriously, I almost laughed. But as soon as I realized that this was a very serious thing to them, I stifled my giggles. "Pinky swear." Chris took his pinky on his left hand, and traced an 'X' on his chest, and then kissed his finger. "Hey, girls, where're you goin'?" I turned around. Eyeball and Ace walked out of the darkness of the bar, and started to walk towards us. Ace grabbed the baseball cap Gordie had been wearing, and held it above his head. "Hey, come on man, my brother gave me that!" Ace made Gordie jump up and try to grab it like he was taunting a homeless puppy with food. "And now you given it to me." Ace's eyes were dark. "Give it to me! Come on! Man! That's mine!" Gordie couldn't reach it. "You're a real asshole, you know that?" I hadn't realized those words came out of my mouth until Ace gave me a death stare as he walked towards me. "Who do we got here? Maybe you guys should learn from her, and start learning to not be pussies all the time," Ace said with a smirk. "If you make fun of my friends again, I swear." I popped my knuckles and my neck. "Oh no, you hear that Eyeball, she swears," he said in a fake, scared voice. "Stop making fun of her," Chris glared at both of them. "Ooh, you hear this Ace, my little brother has a little girl friend." I saw Chris' s face turn red, and I knew mine had, too. Ace suddenly started to study me very intently. "Hey...I've seen you before.." he trailed off. Gordie grabbed our arms. "C'mon, guys, lets go." I walked next to Chris as we started to leave. "See you later, girls," Eyeball said.

"Hey!" I heard one of them yell. "You're that bitch that busted my car!" We all stopped. "You did what?!" Chris asked. I heard footsteps behind us. Coming towards us. Fast.

"Run!" I screamed as I pulled them along behind me.
