I open the big metal doors. A guard is waiting down the end of the long dark hallway. The emergency lights are the only ones that work. Felix is holding my back as we walk. He holds out a card and the guard opens another set of heavy doors. He struggles for a second, but then he is back standing in his spot like nothing happened. The smell of mould and ash is horrible.
Felix sits me down as i am still a bit unstable because i don't want the Lord anywhere near my family. I can just remember all of my struggling at the hospital. When they first placed a mask over my mouth, i didn't mind, until they held a knife to my throat. Struggling and pushing did nothing. I can just feel my muscles straining as i tried to sit up to then be pushed back. The first needle they injected, slowly stopped my thrashing until there was one long silent beep. To open my eyes again felt like i was born again, this time without my parents, or family and i wasn't in Metradow.
I fall forward and Felix holds me up. 'Do you know what this means?' I hear someone yell. My eye lids flop over my pupils, limiting what i can see. I hold y mouth not wanting to vomit. A sick, sticky feeling rolls in my stomach. A hard smack rings of the metal walls. I can't think of what i'm doing, i don't know what i'm doing. I stand up before i fall again and felix holds me up.
I push out of his hands and rush towards the sound. 'They burnt down our base! They are on to us!' The person yells again. Is it my fear of falling apart, or the rush i suddenly got that pushed me forward. 'I don't kno-' Started a man sitting on a metal chair. I push over the man who yelled and he hits the floor with a clunk. The metal floor has many colours from mould, but his blood was not there before.
Felix grabs me but i push him away again. I land on my knees next to the man bleeding from his temples. Felix grabs me but i can't fight back. The man that was at the metal doors before has run to the aid of the man. Everyone makes a circle around him and Felix guides me to the door.
Slap.
'What the hell,' Emphasis on hell, 'was that?' I rub my check as i try to pull myself of the bathroom floor in his apartment. He has a good slap. 'Speak!' He reaches out to slap me again but stops. 'He... he looked like...' I stop. Kyle running around as a little kid flashes in my mind like a comet going past earth. 'Spit it out Stacey!' He yells.
'Kyle!' I scream. He backs away as i struggle to stand. 'W.. what?' He stampers. I stand and grab the sink, looking at my reflection in the mirror. Some blood has gotten onto my dress. 'He. Looked. Like. Kyle. And i couldn't resist. Ok?' Felix stumbles back from my tone and knocks over his pamper basket from his mother. I walk out, and he doesn't stop me. He just stops and glares.
