I pull on my socks, and my old compare boots. But none of this is mine. I zip up my jacket as the snow falls on Seranade. The floor has a layer of dots from the reflection. I grab my scarf an head out because the President has called me. I only got 3 hours of sleep before he called me. There still is light out so i decided to walk.
After a long trek along the streets of snow seeing people dig out cars and tracks to walk on. I see a few kids going down on plastic circles and they look much happier then the people back home. I seem to miss my family, but my dad most.
I get to the door and push it open to see the halls are all empty. I notice a picture on the wall i have never seen there before its of some blue prints to a tunnel. I try to read where but i am stopped. 'Stacey!' I jump to see the President behind me. 'I got that as a celebration for my 29th birthday. If you want we can get a photo in fount of it?' He asks.
He pulls out a camera that was conveniently in his pocket and takes a photo of it with us. I watch as the flash hits my face and the photo pop out of the camera slowly just as a white photo. He hands it to me and i get an idea. He leads me to his office and we talk along the way but i just want to get home. I look out the window to see the sky covered in black smock and a bright light coming from nearby behind a building, where sirens are at.We reach his office and he makes me sit down.
'We have noticed that recently there have been some attacks from the outside and they are trying to get in.' He says 'The latest one was not even and hour ago as a person lit on of our oldest buildings on fire. And we believe we have found the subject. I just wanted to ask you if you had anything to do with this. And i wouldn't lie to you, so i don't get why you would lie to me. So, Miss Xao, do you have anything to do with this?' He finishes but i notice he has come out of his chair a bi and leaned over towards me.
I am gobsmacked. I stutter but i answer with a firm enough no that he knows that i mean business. 'Very well,' He says straightening his tie, 'Bring her in!' He declares. The doors to his office fling open and i see three guards and a girl. Two are on her arms and one is behind her with a gun.
'We believe this is the culprit to the fire. Do you know her?' The president asks. I can't answer. 'Do you know her?!' He demands. 'No.' I said no but i meant yes. I have seen her around but i don't actually know her so i guess I'm not lying in a sense.
'Well thats a relief. Take her to the Far Land.' The President demands. I gasp. I just sent a girl to a death sentence. Her blonde hair is flicked over one eye but it caches mine but then i look away. Kitty was her name. She was one of the oldest kids i knew and also one of the friendliest. She laughed but always had a frown on her face so it wasn't to hard for me to recognise that scowl she left me with and as the metal door shut i sat there looking at the reflection of the little snow falling through the window which reminded me of blood. Alexia Bushwell's to be correct when i shot her square in the head. Im sitting on her chair. Where her blood once ran warm, flowing from organ to organ.
