I Finally Found. . .

First Day

Beyoncé's POV

I drove down the busy streets of Los Angeles, face timing Jay since he was out of town on a business trip.

"Are you nervous?"  He ask, going over his  paper work.

"Am I nervous? No, I'm more excited than I am nervous.   I'm going to be meeting new kids this year all of my old Students are in the 6th grade now and I bet they miss me since they're new teachers aren't treating them like babies anymore."  I said, stopping at Starbucks to order one Strawberry Lemonade.  

"Those kids drove you crazy last year, and I bet it's going to be even worser this year.   Just remember, it's their first day..go easy on them."  Jay said now looking at me through the camera. 

"I will, I will." 

I payed for my drink and headed towards Emerson's Middle School, listening to Jay complain about the Co-workers at his Job. 

"Baby, I'm here so you know what that means."  I said frowning as I found a parking space to park my car in.

"I'll be back home soon, I only have a week left.   You won't even notice that I'm gone."  Jay said with a small grin. 

"I been noticed that you were gone, I woke up with no one next to me.  Jay don't try to use that line on me.  It's already been a week plus today.   I cried this morning because I couldn't cook breakfast for myself,  I want you to come home now...Come home."  I said touching the screen, wishing I could feel him or kiss him. 

I heard him sigh and put the phone down,  to where I could no longer see his face, only the ceiling.

"I don't have time for this, Ill  be home soon I love you Beyoncé." 

"I love you too."  I semi-yelled  slamming my finger down on the red button ending the call.

"Dammit why can't this be a flip phone, I miss the feeling of that vibration back in 08'. When I hung up on him. "   I said to myself grabbing my Crossbody Hang Bag getting out of my car.

"Hey Mrs. Carter."  Tory said walking pass me to   5th grade A Hall.  

"Good morning  Tory, make sure you get to class on time.  I still have your mother's number on speed dial."  I threatened walking in the opposite direction to B Hall.

"Man."  He mumbled turning around walking behind me.

"That's what I thought, you know you don't have any classes on A Hall so I don't even know why you were walking over there and I want to see you in my class on time.   I'm not like your last math teacher skipping class is not allowed with me.  Understand?" 

"Yeah, I understand."  Tory said as we both entered  the school building.   

I watched Tory go talk to a young boy who was standing by himself as I walked down the hallway.   
          "Good morning Mrs. Carter."   Mr. LockHeartt said following me into my class room.

"Good morning,  What do you need?  It's the First Day.  You should have all of your supplies."  I giggled unpacking my laptop sitting it on my desk.

"I have all of my supplies, I just came to see if you knew about our lesson plans for class today." Darnell said sitting ontop of one of the desk.

"We don't have plans for today, because we'll be introducing ourselves and that'll take up to 15 or 20 minutes. Then we'll be going over class rules. You should know this we do this every year. Darnell what do you want?" I asked
