I never seem to be able to make good first chapters. This is my opinion at least. But I hope you like it :)
Enjoy ;D

Despite my objections, after school Nicole and I left together to go over to my place. Because Nicole was afraid of my choice of clothes, she wanted to choose me an outfit. In my mind I already imagined Nicole being like a tornado in my closet. I shouldn't let her win all the time but it's pretty damn hard to do otherwise.
We were about to cross the road in front of our school, when Nicole suddenly stopped. "Hey, wait," she said and looked past me, biting her lip. I turned to look the same way. Of course it was Jake.
"You want him to come too?" I assumed.
"You know how much I want to. But... how do I talk to him? And if he doesn't want to come?"
It was funny, how Nicole always was encouraging me and how she herself was acting around boys. But when it was about Jake, she was a whole different girl.
"Simply go and ask. If you don't take risks, you won't know the consequence," I said, repeating what Nicole usually likes to tell me.
She sighed and turned to face me, at the same time trying to make sure her long blond hair fell perfectly onto her shoulders. "How do I look?"
"Just go. You look fine." It was so ironic. Like I was now Nicole and Nicole was me.
She nodded and took a deep breath, then headed towards where Jake was standing. He was leaning against a tree ,some yards away from us, and seemed to wait for someone. Possibly those guys who he always hangs around with. Not any of those others went to our school. And I didn't know anything else about them, except that they were friends of Jake.
I followed Nicole, but didn't go too close. Nicole slowly went next to him. I noticed swivet in her face, but she was good at hiding it when she started talking.
"Um, hi Jake," she began. When she had got his attention, she continued. First talking about less important things, like asking how's it going and who was he waiting for. She really wasn't like herself anymore. At least she didn't seem to bother him.
"Anyway, twelfth grade is having a party tomorrow. As many others were invited too, I was wondering if you too were maybe thinking about going?"
Jake slightly raised his eyebrow and smiled. "Aren't you too young, considering others who go?"
I understand completely why Nicole likes him so much. Jake has a very sweet smile and a good personality. Plus he looks great.
"Seventeen isn't that young. And there'll be others in my age. Besides, you're only one year older than me." Nicole tried to restrain her smile.
He nodded. "Well, if you say so," he said with a smile. "And I'm aware of that party. But I'll see if I come."
"Really? You're coming? I mean... you might be coming?"
He nodded. "Possibly."
A big and shiny black Ford pickup came from around the corner. I recognized it immediately. It belonged to Jake's gang, who came to pick him up. The vehicle stopped at the side of the road, in front of Jake and Nicole. Between all this smiling, Nicole managed to say something that sounded like bye. Then she watched him jump in the back of the pickup truck, and she didn't say anything until they were gone from our sight.
"You heard that? He said he is coming! I mean, maybe coming. But still. Now I have hope of seeing him there!"
I nodded. "And I'm glad for you," I said to calm her down. "But can we go now? I'm hungry too."
