People think he's stupid. They think that he can't see how his name is never mentioned around him. Can't see how her's seems to only show up when he's around. They think there helping him, protecting him from heartbreak. Sparring him from the ugly truth of reality. But they're wrong, so so wrong. He doesn't want this pity, doesn't want his friends to fall silent when he walks by and treat him like he's fragile. He doesn't need this shit to add up to all the shit that's already there. And it hurts, hurts so much that they don't trust him to be alone with him. Niall doesn't want to self destruct. Just wants to start over, even if that includes a broken heart and broken parts to match.
