Katherine sat against the trunk of the tree as she waited for her egg to hatch. She peered at it. It was a white egg with golden stripes. She wondered what it would be. Could it possibly be a dragon? The must powerful and rarest egg to find?
The egg suddenly began to move. It moved from side to side as a small crack formed on it. The crack fee larger and larger until the top opened.
Out popper the spiked head of a white dragon. It'd eyes were sky blue with golden spikes. It hopped out of the egg, bigger than Katherine expected, and wobbled over to her.
When he reached her, it let out a tiny roar and rubbed it's head against her, showing love. She smiled and began to gingerly rub the side of the dragons face.
"You're so cute." She mumbled quietly, "what should I name you? How about...Blizzard?"
The dragon nodded frantically as if he understood her.
"Okay Blizzard." She stood up with the dragon in her arms, noticing it's tiny wings.
"Can you fly yet?"
"Ah, I see you found a dragon egg!" The voice of the little girl rang behind Katherine.
Katherine whipped around and nodded, holding Blizzard closer. "Yeah, I was lucky enough to get a dragon. Can be fly yet? Does he understand me?"
"Every pet will eventually learn to fly. And yes, he does understand you. When he gets older, you can train him to follow your every command. At his age now, you may only want to give small commands, ones that will be easier for him to follow.
Katherine nodded. "Okay, so, where do I go now? Does he have a special place in my room?"
"When you go back to your room, you will find that supplies for your dragon is already provided. If you have any questions, please find me." And with that, the girl disappeared.
