It did not start with a bang. Nor with a gunshot. It started off with a argument. An argument that soon turned into a bomb. A bomb that lead to war. Nations started splitting, while countries went into war with each other. Soon concentration camps appeared, locking up the poor who refused to fight. Some hid in abandoned cities, away from the government. While the rich were happy and worry free, the poor were dying. Being chained up. The ones who spoke up against this system were killed or wished they were dead.

I was found in a deserted warehouse. No parents to be seen. Nothing but a ring attached to a chain around my neck. I was only six. A six year old trying her best to live on her own. Thirteen years have passed now. I did not have the fortunate option of being locked up into a camp. Sometimes I wonder if my life would have been easier. If death would have been easier.

At the top of all my classes, I am trained to become the perfect assassin. The perfect weapon. I have yet to kill someone and I am not looking forward to it. When I turn twenty-two, I will be shipped off to war. A war that I will lead. Was this my choice? No. Did I have a choice to opt out? Absolutely not. So here I am, living in a country that used to be in South America. I work for an agency called: The Hope For a Better World. Apparently the agency is on the good side. At least that is what I have been told. At the age of seven, you are trained to become a soldier. When you get older you will fight in the war. If you survive, you move up from the level assassin to weapon. If you die instead, you're considered lucky in my book.

I have a dream to escape. To be free. I hate living this life. I just hope one day I'll have the chance to fly. Fly high into the sky, away from this wretched place. A place where I can be happy. To a place that I can call home and belong.
