Ross:-
I recieved my tickets for my cruise a few days ago, and now the time has come for me to get away from here for a week. To be on the ocean, taking in the ocean breeze, watching the water flowing by so elegantly.
I packed my things last night, I have one large suit case, I grab it while throwing my keys in the air and catching them, looking at my apartment before closing the door for the week.
I look at my flip phone and smile at the time, I've got an hour to get there, and it'll be 5 minutes waiting time. It's the time of day where everyone is working so the traffic will be low. I make my way downstairs and hop into the taxi that I phoned 10 minutes ago, I do have car, but I am not leaving my porche in the parking lot next to the docking area, that isn't happening.
I watch all the houses pass me by, the feeling that I won't be driving or walking down these streets for a long while, made me smile, I took out my iPod for my songs and put on Walk The Moon, put one head-phone in so I could hear anyone shouting me, set the volume up load, I like to almost burst my ear drums.
I pass the town shops, my window is open so all the people that know me around here, notice me and wave me goodbye for now, they know I'll be gone for the week, I get along with everyone here, that's what makes this neighbour hood such a nice place to live, but for someone of my age, 25, it's also quite nice to get out and travel the world a little, considering I'll be travelling a little.-30 Minutes later-
I can see the cruise, it's massive, like slightly smaller than the Titanic, but still pretty impressive on how big the actual thing is, I was really excited for this, I jump out of the car, grabbing my suitcase from the boot, I quickly handed the fare over to the driver without looking and told him to keep the change, and I am pretty sure I gave him a $20 when the actual amount was like $10 or something, I was that excited that as soon as I felt the money leaving my hands, I grabbed the handle on my suit case and started running a little, I noticed others making their way for the line, but I wanted to be first, I got my ticket and piece of paper telling them I have a room on the top floor, I may have gotten the dock level, I wanted to be able to see the ocean from my room window, it would be well worth it.
I wait at the gate where the officer check your ticket and let's you pass, he sees me and smiles a little, he takes the ticket, doesn't even look at it and rips it and gives it back to me, I look down a little and walk past him, I move swiftly and hope nothing happens...why am I saying this?
Well, let's just say, I know he's gay.
I made my way to the entrance of the boat, instantly coming face to face with a short brunette, I lost my balance and accidently pinned her to the wall, she smiled up at me, I felt a blush appear on my cheeks, I let go of the handle and pushed against the wall to get my body of the girl.
"I'm sorry, I am just over-excited for this cruise" she smiled and took my ticket, raised her eyebrows.
"Follow me please" I didn't say anything, only grabbed the handle and pulled it behind me. Watching this girl walk through all the halls and pass all the other workers on the ship.
I would say she went down at least 4 corridors then up a set of stairs, that's when the dock came into view.
"This doesn't happen a lot on this boat, but you must have paid good money for this room, your room is right next to mines" I couldn't help but blush when she said that.
"Well, here we are, I hope you enjoy your stay on the cruise. Lunch starts at 12:30, see you then?" I nodded, she smiles and walks right pass me, I can't help but have my gaze follow her. I watch as she goes round the corner and out of sight.
I shake my head, I press against the door and find a bed, chest of drawers and a small TV, it must be for dvds or something.
I put everything away and get changed into something more formal, a white t-shirt and black jacket and my blue denims.
-2 hours later-
I walk to the dinning room, I don't why, but I look around for the girl from earlier...but I don't see her.
"Looking for someone" I snap my head back the my left, to find the brunette I was looking for. I smiled a little and nodded, she looked at me, then motioned for me to follow her.
As we circled around at least 6 tables, we came to the biggest one there is, it was the captains table.
"Dad, this is the young man I was telling you about?" He looked at me, smiled and welcomed me to sit by his daughter, thank goodness for thinking to dress appropriately.
"So, what's your name son?" I coughed lightly and looked his way.
"Pardon my manners, my name is Ross, Ross Lynch" the captain nodded and smiled.
"Humble, polite, very charming, that's what I like to see" I was confused on what he meant.
"I...um" I felt something gently nudge me, turned to find it was his daughter.
"I'm Laura, and he wanted to find out if you were worthy of my time, basically meaning, he wanted to see you for his self before you eventually asked me on a date on this ship" dayummmmm girl, does my nervousness show or something, because that is why I was looking for 'Laura' to ask her to join me for a meal.
"Sir?" He nodded and smiles.
"With your permission, can I please ask you daughter out on a date?" He smiled, looking around the table, then back at me.
"Of course you can son, ask away" I smile once more and turn to Laura.
"Laura, will you go on a date with me on this ship?" She smiles widely and nods quickly.
"I'd love to" I smile, take her hand and sit down next to her.
This week is gonna be awesome.
