Asami's Pov

"You have to ask her out, she's literally right there"

"Yeah but what if she's not my type? I've always had crushes on earthbending girls"

"Maybe she has a crazy earthbending aunt! Now go and make me proud!" I proclaimed

Me and Bo have been debating over this for what feels like 100 years. Maybe Avatar Aang can save us and end this 100 year war. (Or Avatar Korra for that matter) But this war was less bloody and more of me trying to get my best friend a girlfriend. Worst thing is that he acts like a clumsy puppy whenever he's around cute girls. In that aspect, we're not so different yet now more than ever I have to help a friend out.

"Here just take this tea order and bring it to her. Then just start a simple conversation with her. Besides you barely know her so what's the worse that can happen" I recommended.

"Ok I guess it's worth a shot" Bolin finally noted after much encouragement

Bolin commenced walking towards the wealthy waterbender, carefully taking each step as if it were made out of ice. I could've have sworn he looked like a penguin who had lost his mother.

I scootched closer to the girl's table, pretending to be cleaning the table so I can check that my little penguin is doing well.

"Hey! Pumpkin infused lychee tea?" Bolin simply stated at first.

The Water Tribe girl simply nodded, looking more interested in the book than Bolin himself, she reached her hand to grab the tea. But when the tea was finally in her grasp, she roared in laughter. This made Bolin confused, giving out a nervous laugh.

"Oh no! I was not laughing at you sweetie, I was chuckling at my book. They were talking about how fire ferrets are one of the most intelligent animals in the Earth kingdom. Hahaha that's the funniest thing I've heard her all day" she mocked rather smugly.

At that very second, Bolin's face turned blueberry blue. He was so devastated, almost as if a family member had died.

"I'm sorry miss.." He began calmly but then got rudely interrupted.

"AHEM, it's Eska" She boldly insisted

"FINE ESKA! WHAT KIND OF NERVE DO YOU HAVE TO SAY SUCH A THING!!! FIRE FERRETS ARE THE SMARTEST ANIMALS EVER!" Bolin burst out, and let's just say that this little penguin was no happy feet. His face red as ever, and his teddy bear like personality faded away as he defended his spirit animal. The humble fire ferret. The argument went on for a full 10 minutes and I can tell for sure we lost a customer. In the end, "Eska" left the tea shop in a mighty hurry and Bolin marched back to me.

"I swear how can an attractive girl like her have such idiotic opinions!" He groaned, obviously still enraged over the whole debate.

"Don't worry buddy, besides I don't think she was your type" I reassured him

"Yeah no kidding, I hope your crush has at least a brain! Oh and also she must have a liking for fire ferrets"  Bolin beamed. I froze up, I was now the piece of ice. I told Bolin everything but not a peep about how I liked girls. I didn't want to tell him because I didn't want to be different. I just wanted everything to be the same. I discovered this about myself a few years back but I was never really that open about it. I was always afraid. I could only manage to say,

"How..."

"Oh that you liked girls, well you just blushed a while back ago when you told me you met this girl and well I've known you for a long time 'Sami, you think I would have not noticed. Besides I don't mind, you're still the same nerd that I love to work with every single day and you're honestly the best friend I could've ever asked for. Any girl would be lucky to have you." he admitted, with that goofy smile of his. I almost teared up but I can't be spilling waterfalls in the middle of a tea shop.

I hugged him tightly and suddenly felt like I was whole again. 

"Now let's go see if we can spot a hot earthbending girl for you!" I shouted excitedly, and with that we filled the shop with laughter. As it always had been.
