Korra's Pov

"SO IS THAT THE GIRL HUH HUH?" Jinora chirped annoyingly and rather loudly.

"SHHHHHHHHH" I responded. The other people eating their meals peacefully looked at me in disgust. My face was flushing even more than it already was. Gosh embarrassment and smitten feelings don't mix well. Jinora was staring and pointing at my dear crush and I was getting frustrated by the minute.

"Not too loud Jinora, yes yes it's her" I finally clarified. Opal put her hand on my shoulder and chuckled.

"She's really something I give you that. With her lush hair, personality and most of all her face. Now I know why YOU REALLY like her. Well besides the other fact." The earthbender pointed out.

"What other fact?" I cocked my head in question.

"Well for one, you get really red whenever you have potent feelings. Hahaha I could make a tomato soup out of you!" Opal giggled noisily with pig noises in between, now attracting the attention of the people once again. It really is like a circus down at our table. A laughing mess, a beady eyed and curious kid and me, the infatuated avatar. I wouldn't even pay 5 yuans for that show! I was trying to quiet down my zany friend when I didn't even realize Asami was at our table with cranberry jam cookies and moon cakes. I breathed once then twice. You can be in her presence Korra! Asami set down the plates and began to explain the special today. Obviously rehearsed.

"Well you goons I have here for you traditional moon cakes made from the freshest of pig chicken eggs and cranberry cookies to create a red, wet delicious mess in your mouth. The heiress described confidently.

"I know who else is a red, wet delicious mess and she's not a cookie" Opal mentioned, with a huge laugh. Yeeeee. At that second I punched her on the arm hard but half laughing too. However, her jest was not all that bad as my beloved crush also starting laughing.

"Yeah, the manager makes me and Bo' read these ridiculous descriptions everyday. Guess what makes the job worthwhile and sweet huh?" she noted.

"That's not the only thing that's sweet around here, and I'm not mentioning the pastries" I smoothly implied. She blushed at my comment and I blushed even more, surprised at my sudden confidence.

"Why thank you Korra.. You're really sweet too! Well I got to go help Bo' in the kitchen, it's so big that sometimes he gets lost in it" She giggled softly and shyly. She tucked some of her hair behind her ear and with that Asami left, leaving me with nice company and nice pastries.

"Real smoooooooooth Korra" Jinora chattered with a cheeky grin on her face.

"Yep that's that. I'm dating that cutie in green and you are going to spend more time with the sweet little puppy you have here" Opal decided.

"Teehee, well food now, plans later."

"I never knew you were this hungry avatar!" Opal announced.

"Well sometimes food can be the most important thing in the world. I'm a simple woman with simple needs" I sassed.

"So what's the plan with you and googly eyes over there?" The green-eyed Beifong eyed at Asami's direction.

"I don't know to be honest" I muttered

"I think you should just kiss her already!" Jinora blurted out. With that, Opal earthbended an earth slab to Jinora's face. We both chuckled as if it were old times.

"Here I got a plan, you and Asami go to the park or to a movie or something, see the chemistry and then boom! You see for yourself if she's the one. Also, you don't have to necessarily call it a date, more like a "hanging out" time." My best friend advised.

"Yeah... yeah! That's actually brilliant! Wow I'm so glad I brought you here!" I boomed merrily.

"Well,  that's what best friends are for. Besides who's going to give you advice on these subjects? Jinora? Now go get her tiger!" She hollered. I received a familiar rush of energy and walked where Asami was. My heart was pounding and pounding until I saw her.

"Asami I have something to tell you" I mentioned in a jolly tone. She smiled back.

"I actually have something to tell you too, but you first" She responded.

"Well.. ahem... would you like to go to the park and meet with me to see this ice cream place that recently opened up yesterday? I heard that it also has a book section! So you know we can just hang out there and eat ice cream like kids" I said as I beamed in excitement.

She ran towards me, looking straight into my eyes, a wide smile painted over her face and hugged me, her arms wrapped around me and her head tucked on the crook of my neck. Her scent, her breathing, her everything. It was one of the best hugs I've ever experienced.

"YES, I mean yes thank you for inviting me. I was actually going to invite you there myself. I would love nothing more. Heehee. See you there tomorrow?" She stammered. Still in my arms.

"Yep! Sounds like a plan then!" I said laughing, being in pure bliss.
