{Calix} (played by Joey King; see media)

NOTE: basically the media is how I pictured Calix. If you search "Joey King" most of the pictures do not look like this. So basically just the media is what Calix looks like XD

Melanie Martinez woke me up the next morning. Not the Melanie Martinez, obviously, but her song.

"D-O-L-L-H-O-U-S-E, I see things that nobody else sees...."

Her creepy, yet meaningful, words greeted me, waking me from my temporary hibernation, as I liked to call it.

I opened my eyes and stared at my phone. Dollhouse? As my song?

Crap.

I wasn't sure what to think. What would happen later today that would make me "see things that nobody else sees?"

Stella's party was tomorrow, and so was Halloween, so, if anything, creepy stuff should be happening to me tomorrow.

Although, nothing had happened to me yesterday, either. Nothing big and eventful happened to me that would make people "remember me for centuries." Maybe I was safe today.

My heart skipped a beat. Maybe I was safe forever. Maybe my curse was finally wearing off.

I let the song finish playing as I got dressed. I put on a pink, fuzzy sweater, since it wasn't too hot outside (it was the day before Halloween), and a clean, white skirt to go with the Melanie vibe. I decided to top it off with slip-on shoes and a long necklace made of little creepy (FAKE, might I add) baby heads. Definitely Melanie.

I threw on a few bracelets and--why not--a dark shade of red lipstick. Kinda weird for me to wear makeup, but I was feeling odd today. Oddly confident.

I walked downstairs to eat breakfast, like usual, and rolled my eyes as my mom made some witty comment about my outfit.

Later, I swung my backpack onto my shoulder and stepped around any puddles so my shoes didn't get muddy. I'd painted my nails a matte black last night, just because my purple nail polish had been chipping off.

I walked into school and noticed a notebook lying on a table near the entrance of the school. What was this doing here?

There wasn't anyone around the table, so I picked the notebook up.

I rifled through the pages, but there wasn't anything written in it.

I shoved the book in my book bag and decided to take it to the Lost and Found post at lunch time.

English first, where I caught up with Stella and Ronan and Hugo. Ronan had complimented my outfit and we talked about the genius that is Melanie Martinez for a while. Hugo showed Stella his drawing in his sketchbook that he wouldn't even show me or Ronan.

Then Literature, Choir, Science, Drama Club, Creative Writing, and finally, lunch.

I didn't like school that much, but I enjoyed my classes more than the average student. Of course, I'm going to have to take most of the boring classes next semester.

I found Stella sitting at her usual table. I saw Ronan and Hugo walk down the hallway, but they didn't enter the cafeteria. I figured they had some sort of assignment from one of their teachers that they had to do during lunch, but I didn't mind. They usually didn't sit with us at lunch, anyways.
