Part 35

Arohi POV

My grandpa used to say, you spend ninety five percent of your life fulfilling your responsibilities for living five percent of your life. By life, I mean those moments where you actually feel and touch your spirit. It is the moment where you feel 'life' and your body, mind, heart and spirit are in sync. It's like bungee jumping from top of the bridge or two seconds on the rollercoaster after 3 hour wait. But it's those moments that make up your life and rest is the time we spend in earning or collecting them. Those are the moments and memories that will help you to get through your retirement years and last things you feel when your spirit leaves your body.

I didn't know how many hours passed with Yudhi in my lap, but I enjoyed every bit of it. These moments were very precious to me and I committed every one of them to my memory. His head close to my heart and with my hand on his chest, I felt our heartbeats and breaths were in sync.

Suddenly the lights came on and the hostess announced that lunch will be served, before we land in San Francisco. Yudhi woke up and looked at me, but didn't say anything, as if it was all normal for him to sleep on me. I too remained quiet. Shalu woke up too and I had to get up to let them use the restrooms.

After returning from restrooms, Yudhi asked me to move to the middle seat.

"Hey, What about your bucket list or you don't consider us beautiful anymore?"

"I already ticked that. I didn't want to sleep on the same shoulder again, so this time I can use your right shoulder, just spreading the pain." He said rolling his eyes.

"Thank God, you slept on her shoulder, not mine." Shalu thanked me.

"Why so?" I questioned her.

"Look at him, he is so big and I am so small, just his little sister." She whispered to me. "He always treats me like his little sister, so he gets to carry my weight, not me, he is going to crush me." I felt relieved and she was suddenly my best friend.

"So how old are you and since when do you know him?" I asked her as we were served lunch.

"I am only eighteen and then she looked at him mischievously and said since my diaper days." I turned towards Yudhi and he was moving his hand back and forth saying no.

"Why? What she said is not true?" I asked him looking at his signal

"Shut up Yudhi! I am going to kill you." She tried to reach over to slap his hand.

"Haha..He started laughing and told me ... since no diaper days."

"You are very bad Yudhi. That's mean." I said. "Why were you there anyway if she was without a diaper? She is not your age."

"Her sister used to come over to play with me and she followed her and then she used to get angry that we didn't play with her, so she used to take revenge on us by removing and throwing away her diaper and streak like that in the apartment complex. Then her mom used to order us to stop playing and catch her and bring her back." He was trying to control his laughter.

"You are so mean Yudhi!" she took out her fork to punch him.

"Believe me, most of the playtime went in chasing her around the apartment complex." Yudhi was still laughing and Shalu was getting madder.

"Don't worry Shalu, it's not you, it's him. He still chases naked women, only difference is they are not 4 year olds but twenty four year olds." I whispered to her.

"Don't believe that Shalu." Yudhi went on defensive.

"OMG! Is that true Yudhi? I am gonna tell your mom. Thanks Arohi, I can blackmail him now."
