I sat down at the desk next to him. He took one look at me and scoffed. Kind of rude, but who cares. He looked back down at whatever he was working on and let his blonde hair fall in front of his face.
It took me a few moments to realize that the teacher had begun to talk. So, I sat back and listened. I occasionally glanced back at the blonde, it seemed like he never once looked up from what he was doing.
After a few minutes, I really wanted to know what he was so focused on. It kept nagging at me. So, I slowly leaned to the side and slightly backwards. I squinted slightly as I examined the paper. Some sort of setup for what looked to be a hockey game.
What I didn't notice, was that he kinda saw me peeking at his paper. When the teacher wasn't looking, he snapped his fingers in front of me, making me fall out of my seat in suprise. I placed my palms on the ground to stop myself  from falling on my face. I heard a few people laughing as I sat back down. The teacher was pretty pissed at me too. Well, there goes for good first impressions. I'm screwed.
I looked back over to the blonde who looked like he was laughing for a split second, but his expression went back to a blank one as he continued writing.
Next period, I had mixed emotions about. Mostly because, I flipping hate exercising. But, it was also party because, when we were assigned to a locker, I got stuck next to that blonde. I don't know how I feel about him. It was kind of a douche move to freak me out in first period like that, but he also seemed kinda cool. But, shit. Now I would be dressing and undressing next to this guy for the rest of the goddamned year.
Luckily, we didn't dress out today. We just kinda listened to the gym teacher for the whole damn time. I would explain what he was talking about if I was actually listening, but I totally didn't give a shit about what he had to say. Sorry not sorry.
For third period, I walked into the classroom and scanned the area. I smiled widely as I waved to Clara. I was so freaking excited when I also noticed there was an empty seat next to her. I fast walked over to her and sat at the desk.
"Hey, Hazel." I whispered to her and she gave me a pissed off expression. She hated her nickname I gave her over the summer. But, it was her damn fault for telling me to read the book in the first place.
"I am never going to call you Augustus. Okay?"
She only sort of whispered back. She gets annoyed easily.
"Okay." I grinned at the reference I had made. She groaned as she placed her head on the desk surface.
I walked into my fourth period classroom with a wide smile. I had, yet another, class with that boy. Holy crap, I need to learn his freaking name.
Sadly, there wasn't an empty seat even close to him. I was forced to sit behind him. God damnit. I tried to get his attention a few times by whispering, 'hey' and 'i am the rarest pepe'. I think the pepe thing kinda got his attention. At one point, I think I almost made him laugh when I said, 'my dad called me dad once'. I just continued to say random tumblr posts to try to make him laugh. I kinda failed horribly though.
I was almost about to say 'hey' again, but that shitty bell rang and everyone stood up to go to lunch.
So now I'm walking to lunch and I just found Clara. We are for about 20 minutes before I looked up and saw him. His blonde hair majestically fluttered as the wind blew. He caught my eye. "Shit" I muttered to myself. Surprisingly, he smiled at me. I smiled back. Clara asked what I was doing. I replied shocked with "Oh. Um. Nothing."
She had an immediate response of "That's convincing." After that, there was a silence for about 5 minutes before a man at the same table as the blonde-headed beauty whom yelled "ARLO!"
The blondie then replied with "THE FUCK YOU WANT?!" "Arlo" I murmured to myself. Arlo.
Ugh. was my reaction to the bell. At least next is math. Honestly I don't really like math but it's not the most boring class of all. I had it with Clara. There were no seats anywhere near her but one in the back corner, so I sat there. The teacher gave his boring instruction and I just chilled on my phone all period.
The shitty bell rang yet again telling us to head to French class. I walked alone to the room but Arlo was not far ahead of me. This might sound weird, but he had a very round ass. Yeah, it sounds really fucking weird. When we got to science class there was a seat 2 desks down from him, so I sat there. He sat around a bunch of girls which I kind of disliked, but yeah. The teacher was a yapper and was very annoying. Then I realized it was almost the end of the day.
I waited until the final bell rang where I could go home. I already had homework but not much. I grabbed my backpack and tried to go home and catch up to Clara, who was right in front of me before something caught my attention. Something I wasn't expecting.
Something happened. Something I never would have guessed would happen. Someone had just hugged me from behind. All I saw in that brief moment was a hand. The fingers were too round and the hands were too stiff to be a woman's hand. It must've been a man. I quickly turn around. No one is there. I shake my head, talk to Clara, and get in my car.
As I drove home, I kept thinking about who could've hugged me. It couldn't have been Clara, she was right in front of me. The only other person I know is Arlo. But he seems too douchey to do that. Plus, I haven't even properly introduced myself to him yet. So, why the fuck would he hug me?
Meh. I'll think about it in the morning. For now, it'll remain a mystery. Just like the function of a rubber duck is a mystery. Ha, references. Funny.
...Wow, I'm gonna die alone.
