Mizuki was lonely nanaomi had rejected him and is with Tomoe after finding a way for her to be emortal with him (might be another story I write) Mizuki was out in the forest in his snake form wondering around when he came across you. You picked him up and pet him not knowing he was a gods familiar.

I pick the snake up and speak in my usual soft voice "Well hello there.... What a beautiful white snake..... I had a snake just like you once... When I was very young.... But my family sold him." The snake stuck out his toung smelling me with a cute face and I smiled. "Your very cute.... Would you like to come home with me?" The snake slid up my arm and around my neck lousy as not to chock me. "Haha I'll take that as a yes." I stand up my traditional black and purple kimono blowing in the wind as I walk home with the cute white snake
