I woke up, knowing I would have to go to school. Great. I didn't exactly love school. Especially because I had about one friend, and sometimes she ignored me. A lot of people tended to ignore me. That's a typical day in the life of Elizabeth Hanson. But, everyone else calls me Lizzie. I think I get ignored mostly, is because I'm really not like everyone else. Most people in my year listen to "what's popular" and "cool". But, I like all different kinds of music. My mum describes me as ecelctic. Meaning, I like all different types of music.
"ELIZABETH!" my mum screamed from downstairs. Ugh. I was daydreaming again. Why can't school start at maybe...I don't know....11? Nevermind that, if I didn't get my arse up now my mum would do it for me. "I'M GETTING UP MUM!" I screamed back. My mum was so crazy at times. She was really losing her head. She had to do job interviews today at 7:30. I really couldn't blame her. I would be stressed too that early. I walked to my bathroom humming my favourite song "Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran. He was a great artist, and might I add a "ginger jesus." I turned on the faucet letting the warm water hit my body. This felt good. I wish I could stay in here all day. But, unfortuntley, school is required for someone my age, which is 16. I quickly got out of the shower dreading the day ahead, and wrapped a towel around myself. I waltzed into my walk in closet thinking about what to wear. Ah, who cares. It's just school right? I grabbed my black skinny jeans, black converse, and my Ed Sheeran sweatshirt and put my outfit for the day on. I have to admit, this sweatshirt is very comfortable. I quickly brushed out my curly brown hair, and applied a little bit of mascara to make my green eyes pop. Sprayed some Hollister perfume and ran downstairs with my black leather backpack.
"Finally! I thought you would never come downstairs!" my mum said to me, startled. I gave her a little smile, she was obviously not in the talking mood. "Grab a piece of toast or something, we're running late!" she said, reminding me once again, I was going to my living hell. I grabbed a piece of toast and ran to our car. She got in quickly after me muttering about how she was going to be late again. I put my headphones in and pushed shuffle. All Time Low came on. Perfect. I sang along in my mind, knowing all the words. My mum shook my shoulder telling me I was at school. I took my headphones out and grabbed my backpack. "Bye Mum, good luck!" I said getting out of the car. "Bye!" she literally screamed at me. Man, she was nervous. I walked to the school doors and pushed them open. Oh, joy. Look who was coming my way. None other than Amanda Peters herself. "Hey freak." she spat at me looking at me with hate in her eyes. I just ignored her and her little friends and walked to my locker. My number was 69. Haha. I'm a bit of a pervert, sorry. Amanda turned around and looked at me again, this time obviously furious that I had ignored her. Who would ignore precious Amanda Peters? "Hey slut, why aren't you giving me one of your usual comebacks? Huh?" she prompted. Well, you know what? I would not let her win this time. I'm the bigger person here. I got my books, shut my locker door and turned the other direction, heading for my first class, Maths. Ugh. Kill. Me. Now. There was nothing I hated more than Maths. Except Amanda Peters, of course. I hated even more so because there was jerks in that class always messing with me. One of Amanda's little friend's, Jamie, was in this class. She sat the same table as me, obviously hating it as much as I did.
The day dragged on, longer and longer by the minute it seemed. My only kinda friend Rain, ignored me today. Except for lunch. I guess she didn't have anyone to sit with, so today was my lucky day. Yipee. She wouldn't stop talking about a concert she was going to in a week. It was for a band named One Direction. Don't get me wrong, I've heard of them. I'm not entirely weird. But, this obsessing over them was getting a bit too much. She said something about wanting someone in the band's named Harry's, gravy. I was a little frightened. She was mad because she was only going with her mum. I think she was about to invite me to go with her, but it was time for the next class. I really don't care anyway. I had to walk home, so I put my headphones in and listened to Mumford & Sons. They were really good. I soon got home and ran up to my room. My mum wasn't home yet. I put my phone on my speakers and played music so loud, I thought my eardrums would burst. I did my homework, which consisted of Maths, and English. English wasn't that bad. Before I knew it, I was done. Finally. I got a text message from Rain. Weird. I looked at it and it read "My mum said I could take one friend with me to the concert. Wanna go?" Wow. I couldn't believe it. She didn't seem like she liked me enough at school to invite me to a concert. Oh well. I texted my mum to ask for permission. She quickly replied "Sure." Probably, because she was busy. I really miss my dad. He died in a car accident when I was 6. I don't really remember him that well, but of what I do I know he was a great man. My mum sure did miss him a lot. I texted Rain back saying"My mum said I could go, when is it? And thanks for inviting me! x" I have to admit, I was pretty excited for the concert. Even though, I might not like One Direction all that much, it was still exciting. I fell asleep at 9. Early for me, I felt myself dreaming about the concert.
