ELIZABETH'S POV
My alarm went off at 6:00. I didn't want to go to school, ughhh. I sure do hope people aren't going to be looking at me like they were the other day. But I bet they will be. I took a quick shower and got dressed in normal day clothes with my Aerosmith shirt on. I liked them before, but now that I knew Harry liked them too, I decided to wear it. I checked my phone before heading downstairs. I had two missed calls. Both from Rain. Probably wanting to know what the scoop with Harry is. I don't know, maybe. She never really called me before. I grabbed a banana when I got downstairs and some orange juice. My mum had left I guess, seeing the car was gone. I wonder why she didn't tell me or anything about where she was going. It was work, I knew though. She was always working. She hardly had any time off. I wish she would pay attention to me sometimes. I know it's hard with my dad being gone and all, but she could at least talk to me once in a while. But I didn't want her all over me all the time like Rain's mum. That would get annoying. I was at school before I knew it. No one looked at me when I walked to my locker, so that was good. I quickly gathered my things for my first class and went to Maths. I got there before anyone else, suprisingly. So I opened up my book and looked at the lesson we would be having today. Alegbra. Gross. I hated Algebra even though I was fairly good at it. When people had finally arrived about 5 minutes later, I was already half way through my homework. I already knew everything Mr. Young was teaching us about.
At lunch, I wasn't very hungry so I headed down to the library. No one was in there except Ms. Woodland, the librarian. There was pictures of cats EVERYWHERE at her desk. I guess being a hyprocrite in this case, was alright. She did look like at cat lady though. Haha. I knew Rain would be pissed at me for ditching lunch because she wanted to know everything about Harry. But oh well, she would just have to wait until P.E. I hated P.E. YUCK. Running around all sweaty, gross. I'm not a girly girl it's just that I have no physical ability whatsoever. It was the worst. The bell rang for 6th period which is P.E. Noooo. I had to go though. I'm a whiner when it comes to physical education. I was a little late to class because I was in the bathroom. I was just washing my hands, I swear. The library smelled a little too much like pussies. Or cats. Haha. I got to P.E. though, but not without a detention. Mrs. Hollow kept going on and on about how being tardy was not good on a record or whatever. Oh well. I "forgot" my clothes too so I sat on the bleachers. Rain did too. Coincidence? I think not. Right when I sat down she started firing questions at me. "Where were you during lunch? How's Harry? Did you do anything??" Well the last one she was wriggling her eyebrows at me. Who did she think I was?! "First of all, I was in the library, he's fine I guess, and NO!" I shouted at her. Mrs.Hollow looked over at us. "Then what DID you do?" she asked. "None of your business." I snapped at her. It's not like it was something bad or anything. "Aw come onnnn." she whined. "Nothingggg." I said dragging out the word. Mrs. Hollow walked over to us then, saying "Socialize on your own time," Mrs. Hollow continues. "Not mine." She follows up by handing us each a health book:What's Going on Down there? For Girls and Those Who Love Them. There's a picture of a girl on the front cover wearing a pink-and-white polka-dot bikini. "I want to see the first three chapters outlined in your notebooks by the end of the period," Hollow barks. "I seriously hate this school." Rain says, once Hollow is out of earshot.
I had to serve my after school detention today. Drag. Whatever. I got my backpack out of my locker and headed towards the detention room. Once I got there, the detention teacher was looking at a magazine at his desk. I've never been here before, so I glanced at the name plate on the desk. It read "Mr. Lawson." He didn't even glance up when I walked in the room. I handed him my slip and sat down by a girl who looked like she was super bored. She was painting her nails a thick red colour. There was a couple kids behind me, both boys messing with eachother. Throwing spit balls and what not. This was super boring. I got my homework out of my backpack and finished my science so I wouldn't have to at home. I wonder if my mum knew where I was. I guess Mrs.Hollow or someone called her or something. I fell asleep on the desk, and was woken up by Mr. Lawson shaking my shoulder saying "I get to leave, please get up." I hadn't realized what time it was. Already 5. My mum would be wondering why it took so long. I quickly got up and mumbled a "sorry" and dashed out of the door.
I fast walked home. When I finally got there, my mum was making homemade pizza it looked like. She didn't even look up when I walked in the door. "Hey mum, sorry I'm late." I said heading up to my room. She didn't say anything. I went to the bathroom when I got home. Why did she seem not to care about me anymore? Like all of a sudden everything else in her life, especially work, was more important to her than me. I turned the shower on and hopped in. It was again, way too cold. I didn't say anything though. Just turned the nozzle up more to warm. I turned off the shower and grabbed my towel. I fell to the ground and broke out in tears. Why was everything not going my way anymore? I thought everything was fine, but I guess not. My mum didn't care about me anymore, it didn't seem like anyone did. I toughed up and slipped my pajamas on. I climbed into bed, crying myself to sleep.
